It seems to me that Ranieri will be rotating the team a lot next season. I knew he would do it for the forwards because of their age but I never thought he would rotate the defense.

we will have a lot of capable players to rotate between but it is a matter of maintaining the chemistry.

like he could play:

Chiellini--Andrade--Ujfalusi--Zebina

or whatever in the CL

Then go with

Molinero--Leggro--Mellberg--Grygera

in the next game.

He seems to think the best way for Juve to compete with the other big clubs is to keep our plays fresh because we can't match the quality of say inters set starting 11 week in week out. Does anyone else think this is what Ranieri is doing? I don't know about it.

I like having depth in the club but if we buy Ufo and Sagnol along with Mellberg and De Ceglie we might have too many defenders.

Good team plan

You can't say that we have too many defenders. Our current defence lack quality With Andrade, Grygera and Zebina being so injury prone, and Molinaro + Legro being so shaky in some games they are needed. However I'm whether Sagnol is needed considering Brazzo can play as RB

As for De Ceglie, I prefer him as a LW. De Ceglie can play anywhere on the left and has good stamina. I think De Ceglie should be a LB only on emergency situations

I think it's De Ceglie attacking qualities that make him a good LB because he uses his stamina to show his attacking qualities by constantly runnin down the flank & puting in good crosses but he also does this without neglecting his defending (of which he's more than capable of definding) or being caught out of position like Evra is half the time. He's the type of LB we are missing

defence for me would be:

Zebina-Ujflusi-Mellberg-Chiellini

a gaddamn rock!!!

with Grygera and Andrade and Legro on the bench + De Ceglie
that line looks good on paper but we don't know how mellberg is going to be. For me, mellberg is the big question mark. i expect him to be great, but we just don't know yet. Plus, changing 2 crucial positions from one season to another might not be the best of all options. And again; chiellini is a CB not a LB! So that would be a

zebina - mellberg - chiellini - Molinaro (or someone)

for me

Atletico? The reject club? Why on earth would he choose that over Juventus? Could it be the fact that we never gave him an offer?

That's most likely the case. Strange though that Nedved didn't push Secco for him, since he's a fellow countryman with qualities.

So... Juventus, a club that generally looks for Bosman freebies, misses out on the best defender in that portion of the market, with proven Serie A capabilities to boot.

So what should we do now? Give Secco a little more time to figure things out or what?

Dear God, what a bunch of morons.

:wallbang: The mother of freebies, and we didn't sign him. Probably because we already secured Mellberg and didn't want to buy another defender.
