    For me it's Gentoo but the reason there are so many of them is that noone really wants the same thing, so there's plenty of choice to be had. See the list on the right hand side on http://distrowatch.com/, that's the biggest ones in the top10.

    In fact Mepis is one I haven't mentioned before, which also seems quite nice. A bit like Ubuntu in that it too is based on Debian.

    Heh.. my "smart" cousin bought a bootleg copy of OS X from malaysia, on the hopes that he'd go home and install it on his IBM.. :LOL: ..

    I'm way ahead of your cousin, my HP laptop runs on a Gentoo/WinXP/MacOsX tripple boot :cool:

    No, I said Solaris refused to install alongside MacOsX (I don't know why.. ;)), but Windows is working just fine, and OsX is 90% functional.

    Gentoo of course much better than both, by far ;)
