Holistically the sport still has a long way to go for greater adoption, fandom, viewership, etc.. If we want to boil it down to our domestic league then it needs to play to the American culture which is centered around the thrill of goals, back and forth, blowouts. Without using analogies I simply say that the game needs to be served on a platter prepared and dressed the way it's targeted consumer base will engage just like any other product or service.
