Good game thus far. USA midfield is getting schooled by Honduras. But after Honduras put on the early pressure, the US has come back with some positive play. And Dempsey has choked up the ball less and tried to contribute a little.

Jozy needs to be able to do something more clever with the ball at his feet than kick it straight forward or turn it over. Donovan looks good, Spector is too cautious, but fortunately Pavon looks too fat.

It was 1-1 at halftime and finished 2-1 in favor of USA.

But take a look at the ESPN SoccerNet Web site front page, and you wouldn't know it. No, two days later and they still are running the England-Kazakhstan highlights as their top story -- with no mention of the USA win nor any of the other qualifier results yesterday.

I mean, some of my best friends are English. But we won the Revolutionary War back in the 18th century. So why does ESPN-USA's front page of soccer coverage makes the Revolutionary War's outcome look otherwise? :(

Good win, even considering the fluke handball PK.
Though the ref really blew a PK call when Ricardo Clark got his legs taken out in the box just before then.

That has to be it for Bob Bradley. HAS TO BE. I mean, for the love of God. He decided to start Conner Casey of all people to partner Jozey, and this time didn't even bench Adu and Torres -- they weren't even in the team! The two best players from the loss against Costa Rica during the midweek are of course not picked again for probably typical BB bullshit.

And then, even though it didn't work on Wednesday, Bob decides to put on Beasley at left-back and have Bornstein, the true left-back, play further up the pitch. I guess we should all be grateful that our coach can at least tell his left from his right. :rolleyes2

Please resign.

The first half they were getting destroyed in midfield and needed an Adu and/or Torres. And Casey and Jozey were playing dual post-men roles, which was redundant and created a gap of anyone with any creativity at their feet (like an Adu and/or Torres).

He escaped those bone-headed decisions with his life.

Claudio Ranieri wouldn't even vouch for some of that crap. These past two matches are basically a culmination of Bob Bradley's USMNT.

No Ching and no Heydude and no Mastroeni.
Chink is out injured, so there's no use in celebrating just yet.

Better use friggin' Spector.

I think it's time to call up Szetela and have a Jersey boy vs. Jersey boy matchup against Italy. Szetela vs. Rossi. Then our guy can make him pay for not choosing us by breaking his legs.
