Didn't like the result, but I have to admit that was a great game.

No doubt. It was highly exciting, but most Green Card - USA matches are fantastic.

We could have done better though, although the referee really fucked us over in numerous occasions. There should have been a Green Card red card as well as a Dempsey goal, which was called back for Allah knows why. Shamefull biased refereeing from the looks of it. Our attackers were particulary good, especially Altidore, the future of our national team. Our defense was sloppy and Howard made a mistake by not putting a man on the far post during the first Green Card goal. The central midfield was lackluster and as you said Eazy there was little cohesion, thus letting Mexicans through the center of the pitch like our border. I thought Mexico showed more creativity than us going forward, but that's to be expected. We countered with our pace, strength and individual creativity, so we did well in terms of getting the goals. It's just that our central midfield needs work and the defense needs to get their act together.

    Howard - 6.5
    Moor - 5.5
    Onyewu - 6
    Bocanegra - 6.5
    Corrales - 5.5
    Donovan - 6.5
    Bradley - 6
    Clarke - 5.5
    Convey - 5.5
    Dempsey - 6.5
    Altidore - 7.5
    Adu - 6
    Feilhaber - 5.5
Edu and others - not rated

Sal Zizzo. He did very well at right-wing for us in Canada, being a constant threat with his pace. I think he was the fastest player in the side if I recall correctly.

Man, it was fun getting drunk and watching those matches. Our group of youngsters were pretty sick in the U-20's.
Yes thats him, thanks for filling me in...

I remember watching him against Brazil, He was indeed a pacy player:agree:

btw Andy, whatever happened to Danny Karbassiyon(spelling?)??? I remember seeing him play for our reserves a while back, then we sold him to Seffield Wednesday i think(not sure).

Karbassiyoon actually retired from football because of knee problems. It's a shame as he was pretty talented.

Now he's working as a scout for your Dial.

Question for the American guys here:

Club Brugge has signed Jeffrey Jared, a 17-year old American, anyone here knows him and knows if he is any good?

    Barça Establish MLS Link
Spanish giants Barcelona have signed a five-year strategic partnership with Major League Soccer in the USA...

It was announced on Thursday that the Liga side would be the first European team to enter into such an agreement with the MLS and its commercial partners.

As part of the deal, Barca will play at least six exhibition matches over the five-year period, including taking part on a pre-season tour of the USA this summer, while Soccer United Marketing (SUM) will manage all commercial, PR and marketing aspects for the club while they are Stateside.

Barca president Joan Laporta said that his club are delighted to have set-up a long-term strategy to ensure the development of the Barcelona “brand”.

"After a successful tour in 2006, we at FC Barcelona are excited to embrace a long-term strategy for our brand in the US market," Laporta beamed to SportingLife.

"This represents a true North American expansion for FC Barcelona.

"We are sure that, with the co-operation of MLS and SUM, Barca will become more recognisable among the North American public, as well as continue the growth of soccer in the United States."

Barca are set to finish third in this season’s La Liga and fell to Manchester United in the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League.

The link has been established following a successful tour in 2006, where the Catalans faced three MLS sides in front of sold-out stadiums.

    'Delighted'

MLS commissioner Don Garber was understandably delighted after setting up a link with one of the worlds biggest clubs.

"[Barcelona] is a world-renowned brand for its great history of special players, entertaining play and success," Garber said in an MLS statement.

"MLS is excited to help expand the story of FCB and its efforts by showcasing its breathtaking soccer and further developing its brand in North America."

Details of this summer's tour are yet to be released, but the MLS’s statement promised that more news on exact details and opponents would be coming “very soon.”

Actually, we were at the Barcelona - New York Red Bull match. It wasn't a thumping whatsoever. But then again, Burke and I were wasted for that match.

And this reminds me, Vinni - we actually walked our way into the player parking lot at Giants Stadium! It was nuts. We acted like we knew what we were doing, the guards (armed with M4's) asked if our car was there, we said it was, so they let us right through! But then once we went to where the Barca bus was located, another guard caught on and said for us to "get out of here, assholes." That's when we started shouting insults in Italian and that Jersey clown just said, "keep walking, asshole." :p
