Absolutely horrible.

He left the Bundesliga because he couldn't cut it. He's very overrated by the US media.

I have a question for people who actually watch US soccer. How do you guys rate Landon Donovan on his actual skill not his off the pitch antics and annoying personality?

He's got a lot of skill for an American player, probably just below Claudio Reyna as our most talented player ever. His touches and passing are pretty good. However, Donovan is a choker who doesn't perform well against the top sides unless he's on his own turf in the US or in California. His attitude towards the game is poor in my opinion and he doesn't have the heart of a true champion, that's why he'll always be a loser in my books until he proves otherwise.

So I suppose I would put him a couple steps below Enzo Maresca.

My friend and I were arguing with someone who thought Landon Donovan would be a great replacement for David Villa. I just wanted to make sure that was not a commonly held belief.
