And here we go again. Another great job by the people who run our NT. This time it was that dumbass Rongen pushing the starlet Neven Subotic away from choosing out side.

About Germany:

"The time in Germany as a child was the best time of my life. I grew up here in a small village called Schömberg. My life was perfect, but then we went to America. All the time I wanted to return."

About his life in the USA:

"It was easy to integrate as a little boy, you don't realise how much your parents are working at that time. I went to school, I played soccer, got to know some friends because of that but after a while I realised that I was happier in Germany"

About how he was discovered in a park in Bradenton:

"To be precise, Keith Fulk was the man who spotted me. John Hackworth was the coach of the national team and took me in. It's due to them that I can be there now where I am."

About Rongen:

"It was disappointing that a coach criticizes me in public without any reason. It wasn't known to me in football business."

"He told me that I am not good enough for the team and I wouldn't be invited anymore. A few months later, I got an invitation from him to play in the U20 world cup, but how should I play in a tournament without the support of the coach?

And the same statement as usual about the national team:

"I will decide when the time is right. At the moment I have to concentrate on Borussia Dortmund"

_________

Neven Subotic is damn good, only 19, and would probably walk in to the side in front of Bocanegra. Shame we might lose him to Germany due to our idiot coaching.

Indeed, I know who that happens to be.

What can we do besides treat the players well and make sure they're in the team.

Thankfully Adu chose us, but we have a net loss in losing Rossi and probably Subotic.

Hargreaves is a moron for choosing England.

Because too many factors go into choosing. Family ties are one thing that comes to mind. For instance, Rossi chooses Italy because his parents are hardcore Italians and most Italians I know usually adhere to family values, so they go with Italy despite not even visiting the country.

A lot of the time it's about assimilation, but some people are not able to do so.

Here is the squad for the CUBA match in DC on the 11th of this month:

U.S. Men's National Team Roster
Adu, Freddy M AS Monaco (France)
Altidore, Josmer F Villarreal C.F. (Spain)
Beasley, DaMarcus M Glasgow Rangers (Scotland)
Bocanegra, Carlos D Rennes (France)
Bradley, Michael M Borussia Moenchengladbach (Germany)
Califf, Danny D FC Midtjylland (Denmark)
Cherundolo, Steve D Hannover 96 (Germany)
Ching, Brian F Houston Dynamo (MLS)
Davies, Charlie F Hammarby IF (Sweden)
DeMerit, Jay D Watford FC (England)
Dempsey, Clint F Fulham FC (England)
Donovan, Landon F Los Angeles Galaxy (MLS)
Edu, Maurice M 6’0” Glasgow Rangers (Scotland)
Guzan, Brad GK 6’4” Aston Villa (England)
Hejduk, Frankie D Columbus Crew (MLS)
Howard, Tim GK Everton FC (England)
Kljestan, Sacha M Chivas USA (MLS)
Onyewu, Oguchi D Standard de Liege (Belgium)
Orozco, Michael D San Luis (Mexico)
Pearce, Heath D Hansa Rostock (Germany)
Perkins, Troy GK Valerenga IF (Norway)
Szetela, Danny M Brescia Calcio (Italy)
Torres, José Francisco M Pachuca (Mexico)

_______________________________

OK, good to see Altidore and Adu in the squad (finally). Seeing that Altidore had a good debut for Villareal a couple weeks ago and seems to be doing fine, he should start. Also glad to see Szetela in there. I'd field this:

Howard

Cherundolo - Onyewu - Califf - Pearce

Bradley - Kljestan

Dempsey - Donovan - Adu

Altidore

This should be able to get us a bunch of goals. Then we can bring on Szetela to sure up the midfield. Once again Kenny isn't in the squad but Brian Chink is. :disagree:

We smashed Cuba last night to the score of 6-1 at RFK stadium, and thankfully Bob Bradley played the various youngsters in the team. Altidore picked up a goal for himself. Jose Torres also played in the match, did pretty well, and that means we secured him to play for our national team. Too bad Mexico.

Friendly against T&T on Wednesday at 8pm. Unfortunately, it will overlap with the debates.

Nine players were sent back to their clubs( Bocanegra, Bradley, Cherundolo, Ching , DeMerit, Dempsey, Donovan, Howard, and Onyewu), so some experimentation will take place. But Bradley will no doubt make nut job choices, like not giving Rogers a try.

    Guzan

    Wynne - Orozco - Califf - Pearce

    Rogers - Kljestan - Edu - Torres

    Adu

    Altidore
