The Portugal Team arent playing good aside from their 2 central defenders. Nani is no good, he's out of the match for long periods and when he gets involved he loses the ball. Maybe he's back from injury or something.

The Dutch are great, Drenthe and Babel were their best attacking players. Vanden Borre is the best Belgian and Rossina and Montelivo are the best Italians.

Nocerino and Curci are injured and both Aquillani and Palladino didnt have much playing time after their injuries so that might be a problem.:faq1:

The English played bad, but for 10 mins when Pearce switched to 4-4-2 they were dangerous, but then the Czech coach made a switch and stopped them.

As long as we take our chances against the English then I think we'll beat them. Tnankfully they won't have David Bentley who played very well for them at Wembley when the two teams last met.

Nani was shit because of the great man-marking by Zuiverloon. I never knew he could play that well, he didn't have the best season at Feijenoord. Every time Nani got the ball, Zuiverloon was all over him, Nani got so frustrated, he took a swing at him from time to time.

Nice to see the ref didn't manage to screw Belgium. This Mirallas guy really is something IMO. Against Israel he had to be the sole striker, but kept the ball well and in the end even managed to score. And his positioning is great as well. Sure, it's difficult to tell, but I think he has a future.

Rai Uno text this afternoon lists Casiraghi's starting 11 as: Viviano, Raggi, Andreolli, Mantovani, Chiellini, Nocerino, Rosina, Montolivo, Aquilani, Palladino, Pazzini. <<In diretta>> Rai 3, 20:45CET, 19:45GMT. Let's hope for an Italian victory...the Inglese won't let us hear the last of it if they get it! Forza L'Azzurrini!

The U21 squad epitomizes underachievement and not liviing up to the hype. I mean, look what they did at home last year?

Their problem is that, IMO, they don't play as a team.

The Dutch play as a team. I was impressed at how fast and physical Drenthe can be. He can be a real handful.

Unlike the Euro 08 qualifiers where he excelled, it looks like Nani is finally feeling that Euro/WC hex on any player with a lot of hype and/or an endorsement contract. He was double-teamed by Belgium, which was a decent excuse. But yesterday he was pretty much lost.

Our new man, Antunes, isn't half bad though.
