my observations of the game-

On defense-

BUMsong is not the answer

Kovac is not the answer

Balza is not the answer

in fact, this entire defense has to be re-vamped if we are going to succeed in Serie A. With the exception of Chellini as a LB, this whole defense are nothing more than substitutes in Serie A....the Agnelli family better get the checkbook out
Agreed. Though I don't think Boumsong had a bad match today. Actually, I thought Kovac was worse. And Balza turned it over at some bad times. Today, Boumer and Chiellini were both victims of a Pippo Inzaghi on asshole pills. But even if the club can be forgiven for not taking the match any more seriously than a friendly, I'm not convinced they're capable of being serious in Serie A.

In midfield-

Paro is not the answer

Marchisio (even though he didnt play) is not the answer

Palladino in the midfield is not the answer (he is a forward)
Zanetti had a good game, IMO. Nedved is Nedved, which is good to see since the guy could have taken the month off in the Maldives with his suspension.

Zalayeta proved once again that he has no skills, cannot pass or contol the ball (otherwise he would have scored on DP's perfect pass that he had to stop to get control of, and gave Maldini plenty of time to take from him), and maybe we should get off Boji's back, and start blaming ZALA for being a poor strike partner, who gives him no service
Zala was poor, as was Trez today, IMO.

Still, for a friendly to work out the winter-break kinks, it was good for the fans. An entertaining match.

from the goals i've seen that the first was a foul cause Inzaghi pushed BumBum in the back, maybe he should have tried to remain standing up but you cant change the past. Also Milan's third goal was quite hard for the goalkeeper to save as it was close and towards the corner and on his weaker hand.
Brocchi created the chances for the first two goals, not sure about the last one

Hi everyone, I'm new to the boards :) I've been a Juve fan from day one of my existance.

I thought I'd just share my 2 cents of today's "friendly":

Although Juve didn't win, this game proved that to me that Juve is going to be in good shape next season. They may not have a dominating roster on paper, but should compete for the scudetto (assuming they get promoted).

It's a bit sad we lost (I'm more concerned about the injuries we recieved as that will affect games that actually matter!), but I'm pleased to see a Juventus stripped of world many world class players compete with milan who got to keep it's team together.

''trofeo berlusconi''.this tournament was a killing scene,a simple tragedy but it had some advantages...

disadvantages

deschamps our manager lost in the match by 3-2 in san siro ...''1-0''/''1-1''/''1-2''/''2-2''/''3-2''

the mood of the team fell dramatically

3 new injured players added in the ''injury''list.tey are jean alen boumsong, chiellini and palladino

advantages....

the young players in experience became more experienced

see our level against milan

had a full stadium

after all that, there was a report by deschamps....
''it would be better if we have lost really bad in the stadium, than playing very good and leave with injuries.unfortunately,we lost two basic center defenders and palladino has also got a problen.i would like to lose here ,so to prepare better in for serie b the next week''said didier deschamps dissapointed

Welcome Matteo.

As for the game, I didn't get the chance to watch It, but like I said before, It's a friendly match, I'm pretty sure players were not giving their 100%, after-all it's no league/cup game but a friendly between two great teams.

Winning this game would have given us some push and credits to our players and coach, but also loosing can be helpful as we can look at the gaps that should be worked on, from players to formation and tactics. Hopefully this game was a lesson to learn some of our mistakes and focus more in the up-coming matches.

Thanks everyone for the match-report.

ibra is a worldclass player and did great the first season at juve, what do u want from him? some dick?
if u think ibra is world class, then u must also think u can lose weight with the krispy kreme donut diet

as for the game, ok we need defenders, but not just any old defenders, we need a leader at the back, a cannavaro, or ferrara, sum1 who will hold that line, and i hate to say this, but barzagli is not that leader imo

Badass makes a good point. We have no leadership at the back. Gigi comes the closest, but we need someone on the back line. Biri may be our backup captain, but he doesn't seem to have command of his peers in terms of organization.

Losing both Canna and, scary to say, Thuram did not help matters -- physical abilities aside.

Some empathy would be nice. If he stayed, I'm sure every Juventus supporter would be on his side anyways. Ibrahimovic is doing well at Inter (7 goals), but he has the worst attitude any player can have. That behaviour is any team's downfall.

yeah thats an important point, the closest player in this team's defence that i could describe as commanding is Chiellini.

and i agree with Badass i dont think Barzagli is that commanding leadership figure.
Secco and DD better have a very good discussion before bringing in a center back.
