We won't be in any position to buy players like Toni or Torres for at leat several seasons. I think this will be harder than some of you are aware of. I'm not even sure, if we will be back in seria a next year. It's a tough mission. And I don't think that back in seria a we will immediatetly win a place in Champions League. Especially without Camo, Trez, and Buffon. The careers of Del Piero and Nedved are at the end, too. After the big losses this year the remaining stars will leave or retire in the next two years. This means we are not competetive. We can't offer top players title hunts. And without big Cl money for at least two and probably more years we don't have money to buy 6-8 new star players. We will have to buy young talents, use our primavera to their full potential and hope that they can bring Juve back to CL and the money. If we regain our status until 2010/2011 this would be huge.

Well it is a big question about Buffon's and Treze's departure at the end of the season. We are not small club(even in B),maybe our board will offer them a pay rise.

Yes,Del Piero and Nedved are near the end of their careers but we have Palladino,Paro,Guzman,Marchionni,Chiellini and Balza as the new guys(theit time is about to come).

C.Zanetti,Olivera(loaned),Kapo(loaned), are the players that can serve us in the future.

If we enter serie A,next season,I expect few more players to come(first we need to buy one good DC).

I don't think Serie B is easy. In some ways it is going to be harder than Serie A. We have a hard task ahead of us. The players have a -17 deficit to cope with & the team has had the central defence & midfield ripped out. Therefore we have to rebuild our team & this includes playing young players from our primavera teams of the last few years, but that does not mean that we cannot plan ahead. As you said, certain players are coming to the end of their careers. However once we're back in Serie A, our young players will still need the (team) support of more mature players, whilst they strengthen & consolidate their places in the team. We have some talented young players, but to throw them in the deep end of Serie A without the support of more mature players, the recovery of our status will take even longer. We will therefore need to buy a few good quality players.

That's true. And I did not mean we shouldn't buy some mature players if the others leave/retire. But I don't think we will be able to buy several top stars like Luca Toni. We will have to make top stars out of promising talents and perhaps we can catch some experienced players that are at the end of their career to help building the team.

:agree: That's right. I don't think we can afford more than 1-3 depending on the player(s) we do buy. I was having a little stab at La Viola fans, who apparently don't like Juve because we bought Roberto Baggio from Fiorentina in the early 1990's. I thought it would be fun to annoy them by buying Luca Toni - although he would be an asset.;)

It's good to see more and more fans becoming realistic about the future.

Trez will probably just stay for this season but if it's enough to get us promoted it has been a success and we should be thankful for it the day he departs and forever hold him dear. Buffon, who knows, he might decide to stay on if we promote and IF we promote, we will have done it with a side which by the end of the season know eachother well. A side that has gelled superbly and played well for an entire season. That's what we need to gain promotion and here's hoping for such an outcome!

We'll get back in the Serie-A and when we do, we WILL attract powerful playing material. I'm talking about good, decent players, up and coming; the steel, the stamina, the backbone of a solid, competitive side! We won't be needing no superstar primadonna figures right away once we get back! The timing will not be right for that. We must build a strong side of die-hard Juventini and go from there.

A great side, of course, needs a fair share of star players. World class players. But we can't be thinking about that now. If we play our cards right, however, during this extremely important time for the club, hopefully our board can start thinking about bringing some of them in sooner rather than later.

But first things first! Vicenza tomorrow! It's gonna be difficult enough!

I see your point but we did win the league on the field. Some of our players had a very good season. The man discussed in this thread in particular..

It seems that our club suffers and will probably suffer further more,
the players know that...

Probably the plan is to slowly build up the team again by the years after winning better places (and make some money)
the players might know that the owners arent planning on investing/spending cash like the other great clubs,
we will not be competitive for the years to come,
our stars left us and the rest will retire/leave soon,
lets hope our promising youngsters are really promising...

Lets hope that Moggi and former scouters did a good job and ensured our future.

i agree we will never win the serie a
but the champs league, the past years(since 1996) none of the competitive teams have won:p
seriously, porto arent competitive, liverpool arent as well n they won
n we can b barca, teach our players and our cbs to bend decisions their way

I think that the Juventus young talents who where loaned to Seria B clubs last season and season(s) before, already have a taste of Seria B , so they dont lack experience in this league ...its not unknown to them, so we have to wait and see ,41 games left to play...

Even if they do have the exp not to mesh everything up,
they dont have the value to make the difference
and many of our current stars will have to serve their NT duties,
a thing that only our team will suffer,
the handicup is already too great for us...

agreed on most points.

abt the bolded part, although the Juventus name is huge but for a while we wont have any european football or even challenging for the title. So i dont think that we would attract the players we could've attracted in the past.

Same here, besides a player of his quality deserves to be present in the CL.
Spot on B. He is still young and has the quality that any team would dream of.There will be tons of suiters in January, but i hope he would stay till June.
