Trezeguet's idol, the one player he most wanted to be like, to play like. Having overtaken Platini in Juve's all time record, there is one record still ahead for Trez, the ultimate one.

About the stats: current as of today, 22.11.05. The Serie A numbers I'm pretty sure are correct, the other club stats (in Bati's case) are a bit more sketchy.

Club

Code:
Name Serie A Gls/game	Total Gls/game
[b]Batistuta	183 0.58 252 0.62[/b]
Trezeguet	81 0.63 109 0.61
International

Code:
Name Caps Goals Gls/game
[b]Batistuta	78 56 0.72[/b]
Trezeguet	60 31 0.52
Serie A = Goals in Serie A
Gls/game = Goals per game in Serie A
Total = Total goals while playing for a Serie A club, that is cup & euro games included (Bati's Serie B goals subtracted)
Gls/game = Goals per game in the games qualified under "Total"

Beating Bati-goal....thats a tough one. Batistuta was a goal machine, all three of his daily meals consisted of goals. It will be mission impossible infinity for Trez(no offence) to try to beat Bati-goal

that's really gonna be tough, nearly impossible. well if he stays in juve for like 4 seasons it can happen. and if he stays injury-free.

Where does Trezeguet stand in the list of Juventus' all time strikers and where does he stand in the list of Juventus' all time non-Italian strikers?

I can see him climbing in these two lists.

Batistuta was a better player than trez, as far as technique and ball control go. batigol was also more physical than Trez.

On a side note, a good friend of mine is a neighbor of his maryland.

    go go trezegol.....

if he wadn't injured most of last season , he'd score more... but there'd be time for him to be the best foreign scorer for juve.

batigol was a goal-machine!! I still remember his fiorentina days....

Those averages can be misleading. It says goals/game and not goals/minute. Batigoal got subbed a lot more then Trezeguet.

batigol was a phenomenon and the reason i got hooked on calcio, trez is the best finisher i have seen since batigol,he lurks in the box and does not contribute to overall play, but give him just a whiff of goal at your peril. is not really fair on anyone to be compared to batigol but trez is the next best i have seen as an out and out finisher

overall batistuta was a better player. that said, i don't think any striker is like trez, he's really unique. i haven't seen anyone like him, closest would be probably makaay, but then again he has these slips of form every season, whereas trez doesn't, if he's healthy he'll score. and trez's main attribute is that he shoots with both feet, and has terrific heading, i can't remember a player that had all of that, and he also has that be at the right place at the right time instinct. he's really one of a kind, unique.
