Ok I got over the fact that I didn't like Klose.

In fact, the day after I said these things in this thread I saw a huge Nike banner in the middle of Berlin, with Miroslav on it. looked kinda cool.

Anyway, I reckon that Klose is a great player. Speed, finishing and heading are his main assets, this kind can net goals maybe a bit less than Trez, but he beats David when it comes to speed and to run aound the pitch, helping the midfield when needed.

He's also a great pro. Never heard a bad word about him. Did well with Werder and Germany.

And, he'd also be available for an ok price.

The only minus point is that I heard that he doesn't speak any foreign languages, not even English. That could be a small problem, for his integration and all. In our squad, I only see Kovac speaking German, so Miro'd better buy an assimil if he comes to Turin.

Conclusion: IMO Klose is a very good Trez replacement. Possibly the best replacement in a reachable price. But seeing him in the bianconero shirt will include seeing Trez leave to Lyon I guess.
If David wants to compete for the CL, I'm all in for a Miro capture.

Klose, DP, Boji, Palla, (5th str), is a very good frontline imo.

well, the move would only happen this summer. Let his enjoy his CL with Werder, because next year, he might not play it.

I do not think Klose will be thinking in Juventus and I do not think he can be a good player in the Calcio. David Villa is much better but I dont think he will go to Juventus since he has a high price whic other clubs will agree on

Yeah, absolutely. Like I said, he runs like Dr. Mengele.

Had a good laugh over that one.:D

IMHO Trez is a better option by far considering various factors but I just do not think it is right to keep a player against his wishes and he would contribute to our cause in Serie B. If Camo, Buffon, or Trez wants CL football next year, then I think as a fan we should let them go.

Klose is not a bad substitute no doubt - but I think the money could be a real issue. As far as I am concerned Klose is leaving because I just cant imagine Werder being able to match the salaries that is going to be offered to him by big European clubs (BTW, I think Man U might join in this hunt some time soon). Also, the domestic factor would play a part too. Bundesliga is not the powerhouse it used to be throughout 80s to mid 90s. And no disrespect to Werder, Juve is far bigger club in all regards and it is matter of time before we start competiting for top spots in Europe (though Klose might be too old by then). For Klose Juve makes a perfect career sense. Guaranteed first team slot, more money, better competition.

get klose hes scored 12 goals in 14 league games, sick, while trez is injured lol
Form is temporary and class is permanent. You don't need statistician to prove Bayensian probability update to know that.

Trez has been by far the more prolific goal scorer with higher game-goal ratio, more goals, tougher domestic league, more experience at an international stage (there is more than just couple of games in World Cup after all though many including FIFA forget about this), European stage. The matter of fact is Trez has been by far the better goal-scorer in his career than Klose and nothing is going to change that. To be fair though, Klose seems to be a bit of late-boomer so the discrepancies isnt as big as the stat might suggest.

IMO the key issue is not about Klose. I think he is very good player. Its about Trezeguet. Will he stay or not? I don't know the answer to this.

You could be sad that Klose wont come to Juve.
You dont know his qualities, but doesnt matter.
Very poor, some comments.

Today he played again fantastic. 2 great goals.
Both of us know, Miro is going to leave soon, probably at the end of this season. That hurts, but if I would like to see him anywhere else, then at Juve!!!

id rather the club used common sense and make a swap with buffon for adriano plus cash. Adriano has serie A experience, is better than Klose and will play for many seasons.

Trez leaving wouldnt be such a bad thing considering his injuries and age..he'll be 30, and with his long list of injuries, he wont be around in 3 or so seasons playing at his peak.

I understand, and I do also believe Klose is a good player. At this moment of time I do not think the discrepancies between Trezeguet and Klose certainly as wide as the stats suggests. But I just want to point out I cannot imagine any discussion on Klose without Trezeguet being sacrificed or leave (whatever interpretation you take). And for me, Trezeguet is a priority.:)

We should discuss Klose only after Trezeguet situation is cleared up. All regards though considering his contract status I do not think he will fetch astronomical sums and despite his fame could be good value for money. But we should not forget real life is not like a video game where people can automatically adjust to their surrounings easily. Look at Sheva. Players are not robots that plays at their best regardless of environment that surrounds them (ask Adriano about that) and at age 30 you don't get the second chance that maybe 21 year might get.
