Occasionally? Fiore is so much better than Camo. he should be starting all the time, and Pirlo would have to be in my first team as well. Perrotta and Zanetti have been brilliant for Italy, I know, but look at what Pirlo has done this season and tell me if you don't think it merits a starting place.
Trap doesn't know what merit is. If he had the balls he would have taken Gilardino.

Yeah, but the point is that Pirlo is there and Gila isn't, so he should play Pirlo.

Peruzzi is good, but Pelezzoli is in wayyy better form

    btw toldo's form sks
Peruzzi actually had a very good season, but then again, so did Pelizzoli. For me it doesn't really matter since neither of the two were likely to play much better anyways. Buffon will obviously be first choice, and the only way that Toldo will get a look in is if Gigi gets hurt, so neither Peru or Peli had much chance of getting a game so I guess Trap is giving Peruzzi some what of a sending off.

Unfortunately he does, but that's why I would start Panucci at right back, rather than Oddo, and because Panu is a stay at home, very defensive, kind of right back, Pirlo doesn't have to be as defensive as Cristiano Zanetti is in the middle of the pitch.

I have no doubts that Del Piero will start but he will have the added pressure of Cassano there ready to replace him, if that doesn't motivate him, nothing will.

Di Vaio should consider himself extremely lucky, Miccoli would be the better choice. Not happy with Materazzi but he's infinitely better than Legro.

    NO GILARDINO

    Thanks Trap. :fero:
Alberto could've scored 50 goals this season then held Trap and his family hostage demanding to be included and still the old fool would choose Corradi.

that will depends on the complication of the match really as those two have two differentt quality to offer... Fiore will give solidity and deep playmaking skill ... but Camoranesi is a great tool player that can be used to open up defense with his runs, add pace and width to the team.....very usefull when the opponets have crank up their defense into a game of chess...

as i said before , club and international footbal are two different parallel world... Pirlo might have done a lot for Ancelotti's Milan in Serie A, but as far as Trapotoni's Italy in EURO qualifying is concerned, Perotta and Zanetti pass all the test... people always argue that Pirlo and Gatusso have more pontetial, but i never seen them that good when they played for Italy.... potential are nothing if its not materealize.. if you dont get them out in the qualifyin, its no use to still gamble on them in the finals.. let the people who get the job done do their job.. in this case , Perotta and Zanetti... if the formatrion requires two central midfielders, ( 4231 and 442) they are the first 2 names i would pen down... but in the case of 4312, i might side more to gatusso on the right wing as he can gime more width....

I'd rather play Cassano upfront than Del Piero... we all remember DP's last Euro.
Playing Cassano is a justified opinion, but that's a stupid reason not to play DP. Saying that Casso had a better season is fine, but because Alex didn't play well four years ago means that he's not going to play well now? Kind of odd imo.
