For me it really doesn't matter if you play rcb or lcb! As a professional player you should be capeable to play on both sides of the centre. Mexes won't have to use his left-foot, as he won't go on the flank.
Plus, in the France NT he played in the centre together with Thuram, and played as a lcb, so that all talking about rcb or lcb is IMO not needed. I played football for a long time and I was centre back. I am right footed, but played on the lcb and rcb position, and it was no problem!

I agree. There's a very minuscule difference between RCB and LCB. As a professional footballer you should be able to do away with that slight difference.
