Zambrotta keen on Milan
channel 4

Milan are in pole position to sign Gianluca Zambrotta, the Juventus player’s agent has revealed on Tuesday.

Although the English media have speculated that Chelsea are lining up a bid for the versatile full-back, the Italian won’t ponder a move abroad unless his desire of joining the Rossoneri fails to materialise.

"Zambrotta's wish is to stay in Italy, but not at Juventus and the only club that can afford the transfer and that have shown a keen interest is Milan," Giuseppe Bonetto told PA Sport.

"Should Juve fail to reach an agreement with Milan then Zambrotta will consider the other alternatives.”

The former Bari player is expected to leave the Italian giants after their relegation to Serie B and Juventus have been bombarded with requests.

Although Bonetto conceded that Chelsea will make a formal approach, the Premiership champions will have to join a long queue.

“An agent representing Chelsea will meet Juventus in the next few days, but they are not the only ones interested in Zambrotta,” he added.

“Real Madrid and Barcelona are also keen to sign the player.

"It will be down to Juventus to make the decisions and let us know what the options are once there is something concrete.”

Juventus value the newly crowned World Cup winner, recognised as one of the game’s best full-backs, at around £14m.

The former Under-21 international joined the Stadio Delle Alpi outfit in 1999 for £7m from southern minnows Bari.

He’s been a massive success in Turin, even more so after former boss Marcello Lippi transformed him from a right-winger into a marauding full-back.

Juve aim to keep Trez Tuesday 18 July, 2006

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Juventus are hoping to keep David Trezeguet at the club next season despite reported interest from Lyon.

Almost all of Juve’s high profile foreign players are set to leave Turin following their demotion, but whispers in Italy claim the club are keen to keep Trezegol.

The Frenchman’s goals are seen as key to their Serie B promotion plans even if much seems to depend on whether they will get their 30-point deduction reduced.

Juventus are supposedly ready to respect his £3m a season contract, which expires in 2008, if he agrees to remain.

However, Trezeguet – the club’s seventh highest scorer of all time thanks to his 125 goals – has numerous admirers abroad.

The latest club to be linked with the striker, who missed his shoot-out spot-kick in the World Cup Final recently, are French champions Lyon.

The Ligue 1 outfit are ready to offer around £7m for the forward, even if Lyon are also said to be tracking teammate Mauro Camoranesi and Fiorentina striker Luca Toni.

The latter is seemingly available after the Viola were also stripped of their Serie A status last week.

According to reports in the Spanish press, Real Madrid made a 30 million Euro bid for the Juventus trio of Cannavaro, Zambrotta and Emerson, which was immediately turned down.

Does anyone know the deadline for Buffon, Cannavaro and the others to decide their future? I wish we had some concrete news instead of transfer rumors.

i wouldn' t understand if zambo goes to milan, they can't win serie A, they cant participate in europe...yet. and whats the point of going there if juve will be promoted next year and we will start off on the same foot as milan.......if milan dont get a C.L spot

i didnt think trez would stay. if he does i would like him even more.

the thing is, milan play in serie a, and a season after that, would play in europe defenetly (now it all depends if they will get that CL spot or will be heading to uefa cup), while juve is probably just back from b and who knows, maybe juve might not be that strong in serie a. or what ever might happen.

And all other players, well canna hasnt won nothing with club, and his getting old, zambro is also at his best years currently. Who ever decides to stay from older players deservs credit.
