Spanish sources insist that Real Madrid have won the race to capture both Fabio Cannavaro and Gianluca Zambrotta.

Cannavaro is reported to have shunned offers from Chelsea and Milan to move to El Santiaog Bernabeu, while Zambrottaalso rejected The Rossoneri in order to tie up a deal with Madrid.

Italian World Cup winning captain Cannavaro is currently on holiday, but that has not stopped discussions about his future - which is said to have included a meeting with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich aboard one of his yachts.

However, the telling factor for both Cannavaro and Zambrotta seems to be the chance to link-up again with coach Fabio Capelllo - now in charge at Real.

Chief executive Jean-Claude Blanc has confirmed that Juve will and are discussions over the futures of a number of their players, following their demotion to Serie B.

"The board will consider every offer," he told Sky Sports News.

"We will look at every offer, we will discuss with clubs, we have relationships with clubs as we are members of G14.

"We have direct discussions so it is really a matter of willingness on the players' side. Do they want to stay or not. And if they don't we will look at all the offers - the English ones, the Spanish ones, and the Italian ones are pretty interesting too.

"So we will try to do the best decision for the club and the players in the long-term."

"We have some clubs talking to us already, some of the biggest clubs in Europe. There are some English clubs.

"Obviously the level of these players is so high that the biggest clubs would like to have some of them and we have some offers on the table.

"Some are willing to act quickly, and we say why not if the price is right. Some are willing to wait, and if we have to wait to get the price we want we will wait."

On Cannavaro, Blanc stated that it is the player's choice on where his future lies.

"Obviously he is one of the players for whom clubs are very much willing to attract him, so like I said before, it is a question of what he wants to do," he said.

"Are the club interested in him, and does he want to go there? If that is the case then we will sit down and see what we'll do."

Cannavaro and Zambrotta are not the only targets for Real as midfielder Emerson could also on Capello's Turin shopping list.

Hey we all know all our star players will leave, but what I appreciate is that Cannavaro and Zambrotta refused offers from Milan, at least they showed their love for Juve.

Inter Milan accelerate Vieira talks
tribalfooball.com - July 16, 2006

Inter Milan are in talks with Juventus for midfielder Patrick Vieira.
Manchester United are also battling for the France international, who can be signed for £8 million.

Inter are willing to match Juve's asking price and have even discussed taking Vieira on-loan until the Turin giants return to Serie A.

Negotiations have been accelerated in the last 24 hours between the two clubs with Inter anxious not to be trumped by United for the Frenchman.

Della Valle: Fiorentina won't sell Toni
tribalfooball.com - July 16, 2006

Fiorentina patron Diego Della Valle has declared Luca Toni will not be sold.

Tottenham, Inter Milan and Real Madrid have all been linked with the Italy World Cup winner since Fiorentina's demotion to Serie B on Friday.

But Della Valle insists: "In the family in which they have grown, the contracts always must be respected.

"Luca Toni is ours, we have constructed a team for the Champions League. Toni has worked well with Corvino and enthusiastically with Cesare Prandelli.

"Until something contrary emerges, Toni must remain in Florence."

No Serie B For Thuram

The French defender would like a transfer to Barcelona.

Lilian Thuram spoke for the first time since the Serie A verdicts came out, where he stated that he has no intention of playing in Serie B with Juventus.

"There are almost no possibilities that I will play with Juventus in Serie B.

"For the time being I have not spoken yet much with the club. I just hope to find a team in time to remain in the topflight."

Many have linked the French defender to a move to Barca.

"We'll see, in any case Barcelona would be a nice destination for me."

I never liked him, but I got used to seeing him with the Juve jersey. Now, I hate him even more than Zlatan. I'll never forget what he said when they asked him about Juve: "Juve? Who are they?" We are the club that has been feeding you for 5 years. Leave, ungrateful, greedy traitor.
