you guys should check out 50 tracks.
CBC radio (the canadian version of the BBC...) did a huge profile on the best/most important songs since the 20's. I'm sure theres a link to it somewhere on their website about it. If you have no luck finding it, I'm sure I can get if for you.
It was a great program, anyhow.

you forgot all about the hottest band in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
KISS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Theirs: rock n roll all nite(classic)
As cheesy as Kiss was (is), I was still a fan of them way back when. I gotta say, "Rock N Roll All Night" is a pretty fundamental rock song.

But it did make me laugh to hear it while grocery shopping in the Safeway in SF's Lower Mission a couple weeks back. The supermarket was filled with my Latino homies buying Our Lady of Guadalupe votive candles and my Asian homies buying Long Kow Bean-Thread -- rocking out to the sounds of Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley. Kind of surreal...
