It would take a lot of time to get my mind into it, plus, I think it'd look disgusting since majority of the list would consist of Real and Barca players.

I get it, bar Messi and Ronaldo the list is complicated. For me Buffon and Iniesta were also no brainers given how high I rate them.

Other than Chiellini I can only guess Vidic or Puyol? Maybe Pepe, Barzagli, Boetang, Ramos, or Silva but that would be reaching.

Chiellini and Ramos are the more fitting IMO

2006-2017

1)Messi
-undisputed #1 in my books, altough it's tight with Ronaldo
2)Ronaldo
-no need to open this one up more
3)Pirlo
-unbelievable midfielder and total game changer, top 5 in history probably
4)Xavi
-close second to Pirlo is Xavi who was the undisputed boss of the almost invincible Pep-era and Spains dominant run
5)Iniesta
-almost as important as Xavi to both teams, comes right after him
6)Ibrahimovic
-performed wherever he went, lacking in the CL and Swedens shittyness pegs him down a few notches though
7)Ramos
-lots may argue with his defensive talent, but his clutchness in key games and insane trophy cabinet and importance for Real and Spain speaks for itself
8)Suarez
-arguable considering he played for average teams for long and didn't achieve much, but I believe he is the best striker in the world since R9 and I rate him here only due to his outrageous talent, not by the clubs he played in, attitude and his trophies
9)Buffon
-best goalkeeper ever, only so low due to him staying loyal to us and since gks arent sadly as impactful as outfield players, altough with Buffon we could argue that point too til the worlds end
10)Schweinsteiger
-key man for Germany and Bayern Munich ever since he joined, couple of last years have been tough but from 2006-2014 he was by many as one of the worlds best

-he had an unstoppable period during the early 2010s, but all years considered drops just outside the top 10

what i felt is
2015/16 CL season: did nothing in the final or semis. Did well vs Europa level teams like Roma and Wolfsburg tho.
2016 Euros: Portugal's win was a great team effort. Ronaldo played his part but there was no standout.
2016/17: Ridiculously good season and proved himself as the goat poacher.

Awesome list man. Love the fact that you explained each choice aswell. You think if Suarez had signed on for a big club rather than wasting his time at Liverpool and Ajax he would have been higher? I definitely agree he's the best since R9.

this is very agreeable, but it's basically Real, Barca, Bayern and Juventus compilation with the odd Ibrahimovič. You should add Drogba, Lampard, van Persie or Vidič for some EPL recognition, from 2006 to 2012 EPL top teams used to be good/very good, that's a large chunk of the decade.

Bear in mind the criteria for my list, it's not just players who were around or a high level since 2006.

Personally I think David Silva has been a fantastic and player for a long while.

Thing is if this was 2006-2012 I might've added some of those lads like Drogba and possibly Van Persie, but since this is 2006-2017 they drop out of the top 10. I really can't find a spot for any of them in there.

Dunno, I'd at least add them in the "almost made it list", probably replace Suarez with one of them, as the Uruguayan is the weakest of the 10 you posted imo. He never really took Liverpool anywhere, Uruguay looked better with Forlan as their leader not with Suarez and Cavani, only his time at Barca is truly a success.

But again, your list is very good, very hard to argue about the top 10, the ones that got left out is more a matter of taste and point of view

It a question of top 10 players, not top 10 most talented players. You simply can't place Dybala there at this point. Same goes for Mpabbe and Griezmann.

They are yet to show their value. Mbappe will easily be on the next list, though, but so far he hasn't proved much bar the obvious talent.

Suarez is going to be underrated 20 years from now sadly. Imo by far the best striker of this generation. 2014 was his year.
