This is a very similar situation to Hernanes in 2015. Hernanes is not a WC player but he did a job for us especially when marchisio was out. This transfer is just to fullfill the needs we need now.

Hernanes was a fucking horrible transfer. 11 mio, no resale value and 3 mio in wages net, for a guy who have been horrible here.

Also Marchisio is not a creative midfielder at all.

Will be interesting to see where Allegri uses him. I doubt anyone on here really has a good knowledge about the players abilities so maybe we should wait and see how he does before calling him mediocre.

The rare occasions I've seen him play he hasn't done anything bad of note and the statistics from last season seem decent so I see no reason to feel bad about signing him.

Why isn't Rincon considered a reinforcement? Is it because he isn't a big name or because he is "already" 28 or because he plays for a midtable club?

€8M is peanuts nowadays anyways. A low risk transfer that adds a body in a position where we need one.
