Tomas Pochettino will take his medical for Juventus on Thursday: all the details

Juventus is ready to welcome their new prospect Thomas Pochettino. The Argentine offensive winger born in 1996 is already in Italy, he’s in Sorrento to get his EU passport. On Thursday he’ll take his medical for the bianconeri before returning to Argentina. Pochettino is expected back in Italy in January, he’ll arrive on an 18 month loan with option to buy set at 1.5 million euro. For this reason he won’t be allowed to move on another loan for the rest of the season, but there is already an agreement with Sassuolo for the future.

Pochettino: ‘Delighted to play for Juve’

Tomas Pochettino has spoken of his joy as the Argentinian youngster stands on the verge of completing a move to Juventus.
The Boca Juniors midfielder is almost certain to move to the Bianconeri in January, with a loan move to Sassuolo being mooted to help the young playmaker settle in Serie A.
“I haven’t signed yet, but I’ll do a medical tomorrow then go back to Argentina,” Pochettino revealed in an interview with Calciomercato.
“I’m delighted by the opportunity to play for Juve, it’s a club I really like. They’re a very important club in Italy and in Europe.
“Coming to Serie A is a dream for all Argentinians, I’ve watched a lot of Serie A games. I’m learning the language, I’ve been studying for over a month.”
The 18-year-old was spotted by Bianconero scouts while playing at a youth tournament in South Africa, but the Boca player reveals he almost didn’t make the tournament, while assessing his skills as well as his prospective new teammates.
“I had a groin injury, I almost didn’t go [to the tournament].

“During the tournament Juve contacted my agent, he told me when I got back to Argentina.
“I’m a midfielder, I like to play on the left. I’d say I have a powerful shot and a good change of pace. I’m right footed.
“[Carlos] Tevez is a phenomenon, he’s an idol all over Argentina for his humilty. I admire the ease with which [Arturo] Vidal gets into scoring positions, it’s impressive.
“The way [Paul] Pogba plays enchants me, because of the quality, patience and technique that he has.”

I can see the headlines already: Pochettino has Ronaldo in back pocket

(ignore the fact that he is a winger/more attacking midfielder)
