If you actually read the context of the post, you'd understand that I was addressing the issue directly.

Maybe I should learn from you and be ultra-serious in this thread, right?

Most posts at the start, like hyddes were mostly about her not posting enough about Juve and only posting in Buffon threads etc. I dont see how thats relevent at all. Everyone is here for their own reasons and everyone should have a right to be here for their own reasons.

If Juventuz is becoming an 'exclusive' club you can sure as hell count me out.

Not quite true Mac. As far as I can see (look above, the blue sign) this is a Juventus(z) forum, the meeting place for all juventinis ... not a 5 o'clock tea party who's participants are too busy judging which players' hair looks better rather than figuring out what a juventini is all about. Of course we can't talk about footy 24/7 so occasional small talk is reasonable, but foremost you have to be interested in football to be welcomed here.

I agree mostly with Mac on this one, but their "own reasons" can't be too far off from Juventus. havning a crush on Buffon, follwing DP's hairstyles, or just liking the teams kit is all fine. These less-football-knowledgable fans are indeed JUVENTUS FAN whether you like it or not nina (a group of knowledgable juventini dont represent all juventini.. they are just one of the juventini subsets) .
Besides, people like lil and their infatuation with players looks can't harm any others member's views. Others can still constructively give and take to argue about football. I think people like Lil will benifit just from just skimming these arguments and it may make her a better all-rounded fan. I already notice that she's more knowledgable.

It's sad to see people like nina question Lil's support for Juve. What gives you the right to say what she is or isn't. If she claims she's a supporter, then she is.

That said, with all due respect, read the blue sign again nina. Let me help: It says "the meeting place for all juventini."

about your last statement nine (in bold): WHO SAID? I'd really appretiate if you'd quote that exact rule.

A note to Mac: i think your statement (in bold) is a tad too general. Although the sign in blue isn't exclusive, and all people are welcomed, i think it's best if they have something to do with Juve or something to say about it.

........

and there you go... I've officially gave my first 2 cents in this thread. :stress:

Good post Majed ;)

Anyways, this hasnt been going on for just a week as many think, this has been going on for months now, ever since Martin's "crackdown" on off topivness and members who go off topic. We've lost many good and fun members because of that and the whole atmosphere of the forum has worsened.

yeah, I know it's been going on for a while. It's been great to have nice give and take arguments about football. Even reading them is fun. However, the transition to make the forums more "complete" has NOT been successful. A lot of members had to take shit (i do not mean football knowledge shit, I mean subliminal insults, or even unrelavent posts which were obviously written for the sole purpose of pissing members off) from some people who were very arrogant at the time (or maybe it's more approrpriate to say that their posts were since i dont know them personaly). Anyway, they weren't warned much and that bothered me. Their footballing knowledge was surely welcomed, but their rudeness and disrespect went unwarned because of their good footballing points.

IMO, nobody has a right to disprespect anyone. Your footballing knowledge doesn't, niether does your age.

Please note that i dont see the issue completely black and white. Members who couldn't hack the football arguments shouldn't have degraded themselves and made personal insults as replies. These posters should take a step back, learn something, then reply IF they're ready.

It's sad that fun members like Anders (who could make some great arguments have left....maybe not only because of the forum's situation, but i'm sure it had an influence). I also think that the atmosphere now is detremental. instead of trying to mix the well-spoken and analytical people with the younger and/or less knowledgeable ones, the mood and disrespect encoureges the segregation of these two groups. That's not only unhealthy for the friendly asmosphere, but it's also distructive.

I also have a little note for those who are disrespectful to members who make small mistakes regarding football facts: Ley off the smart-ass comments, and the uselss eyerolls. If it isn't constructive, then it should not come out of your mouth (or be typed by your fingures).
There's a saying I'd like to share that most little kids are taught. people, take note: "If you dont have anything " nice" (i'd like to change it to "constructive") to say, then dont say anything at all.
PS: occasionally talking about Buffon's hair, his ass are whatever, is indeed constructive for quite a few members IF it's in its appropriate thread. It provides a common ground for memebers to get closer and it makes a friendlier environment. I dont see how it can harm the football-serious memebrs.

Note to the older and/or more knowledgable members: Be an Example. If you think people aren't up to your level, at least encourage that they learn by showing some respect. Pissing and moaning about not having smart enough members isn't going to help anything. I understand that your here to argue, but a little extra effort in being a model can only do good.

Everyone, show some love and do your best to show some brains too....

I really suck when it comes to spelling.. I just corrected the obvious typos... I left the less obvious ones... Those words are understandable! So it's all good. :D
