They play much better defensively as a 3-5-2 and seeing as we had the second most goals in Serie A last year with the horrible attack we had, I think we'll be just fine once Carlos and Fernando get going. yea of course they play better because no only do you have 3 cbs but you have to wide players coming to make it a back 5 and not only that but then you have pirlo, marchisio, and vidal in front of the cbs.

Admittedly, we are missing our entire midfield save Vidal and we've got a defense on holiday, so a lot of that will of course make a difference. But we still had the personnel that could and should have taken the game to a team like Sassoulo, not the other way round. Don't care about the result. It was about our overall play that lacked inspiration and technique.

Pirlo is Juventus. Without him we suck and I hate that so much. WE are far too reliable on Pirlo and when he doesnt show up no one will. We need to get rid of this dpl. We need a formation where Pirlo isnt the only outlet for ideas. We need to stick tactics and get a player like Bonaventura who can allow us to play with an am or play as a trequartista and or winger
