Damn it was so hard to watch. It's understandable we didn't have fresh legs but we were pushed back to the defense by both teams. 3-5-2 looks like 5-3-2 or even 5-4-1. I hate this formation. We're sitting too deep and we lack width with it. I hope somehow Conte realizes this and goes back to the 4-3-3. We used to play beautiful football with that formation and I want it back :D
I wouldn't read too much into it. Against Sassauolo mostly primavera played.

Its not so much the results. It is more of our in game performances. Things we probably learn in training. Movement, link up play, the 1-2s. I didn't see it with Tevez-Llorente in attack either. They suffered from a problem we had last year too. Nothing to link the mid to them. Sassulo completely outplayed us, even moreso than Milan. You could put that down to enthusiasm, but also the fact that we were making basic mistakes and not showing any signs of new ideas learnt over the past two weeks. Like I mentioned earlier. If you compare this wi our performances in the past tim editions under Conte. You'd find, we may not have won, but we had a flair and signs of what was to come in those matches. Admittedly, we are missing our entire midfield save Vidal and we've got a defense on holiday, so a lot of that will of course make a difference. But we still had the personnel that could and should have taken the game to a team like Sassoulo, not the other way round. Don't care about the result. It was about our overall play that lacked inspiration and technique.
 And you conclude all this from a meaningless friendly where we fielded predominately youth players.

I did played better then storari imo. Some of you guys need to chill and relax so chilax seriously. We passed the ball better then both those teams connected on some nice one twos and got out of tight situations pretty well then our legs got away from us. Guys we can say with a clear heart that Juve are the fittest team in Serie A. We are not us to seeing a dog tired Juve its still sooooo early and we had 6 of our starters out well 7 sorry with Pogba/Marchisio fighting it out so we played Milans best 11 minus balo and montolivio put wit poli there he wasnt a huge huge miss so seriously lets relax. this teams built for the 3-5-2 i hate it but it works for us 4-3-3 is attractive and will be used im sure in one way shape or form. accept its only july and be excited to see our italy internationals and pogba back soon.

My God, people are actually panicking. Do you remember what Betis did to us, that guy Montero was like Ronaldo and when season started we looked much better, in the end won Serie A.It is so stupid to draw conclusions from two half time matches.

Yep, it's that time of the (pre) season again. These games mean ZERO in terms of tactics and performances, they are purely used for teams to regain fitness and a feel for the ball and field again. I'm seriously contemplating not watching any of these futile games again until the Supercoppa against Lazio.

I see there are people who are bitching and drawing conclusions about 3-5-2 from a meaningless tournament.

Oh noes, we are doomed.

It's actually beyond laughable that anyone is taking a single thing out of those games. It's like zero context is ever applied.

Sassuolo finished ahead of Juventus and Milan FFS. Isla and Rubinho were arguably our best players. What else needs to be said?

Why are you saying this like it's a bad thing? I think it's a huge positive if it means this performance helps us revisit Isla's status on the market. And it's fantastic to know that Rubinho is fairly dependable too.

Because it puts your sperging into context considering that those two, by all rights, can't be considered the team's top performers.

I'm sorry but it means very little, other than Isla is in fairly good condition right now. Applying meaning to these sort of games against serious competition is never wise. They are for conditioning and exhibition purposes only.
