Esteban, I think you will find that Pirlo isn't that far off what he was a few years ago; but the players around him are signifiantly worse.

Gattuso used to be able to cover for him better, he used to have great wingbacks flying up the wings to give him options, but that isn't the case any more, so he has to play even more difficult passes.

If I had to choose a player to consistently play a sixty yard pass, it would probably still be Pirlo.
I don't really buy this. Kaka was still Kaka, Ambrosini was basically the same mediocre Ambrosini as always, the flank players are about the same, and they still had Pato along with Ronaldinho as a new addition.

The only difference has been the poor central defenders and Gattuso, that's about it.

Pirlo just isn't as good as he once was. There's no question about it.

I think he was talking about the Italy team. Maybe not.

It's primarily the change in fullbacks that I believe to be a problem, as much of Pirlo's passing involves switching play quicky, which needs quick, athletic fullbacks.

I consider their to be quite a big difference between Milan's fullbacks of a few years ago, mainly the change from Cafu to the current Zambrotta.

Also Italy have the same fullbacks, but Grosso and Zambrotta aren't the players they were three years ago.

I agree Pirlo isn't is as good as he was, but I believe there are a number of factors which have contributed to his decline.

I think he was talking about the Italy team. Maybe not.
Both Italy and Milan.

Carvalho: "My friend Tiago who plays at Juventus has said that at Inter you have great champions and that Serie A is a good league."

So Tiaga is recruiting for Inter Merda now? :andyandbarcelona:

selling poulsen would make the most sense IMO, selling him and buying a defender. santacroce would be good but as long as we dont sell de ceglie.

In the 10000 metre run Tiago was last, exhausted. Apparently Ranieri was right for not fielding him, his form is the worst in the entire team, he can't even run. But still Ferrara trusts in him and regista position could suit him, as he coud be static in front of the defence, moving Melo to partner Sissoko in front of him. That could be the reason we decided to buy Melo instead of D'Agostino.
