The unfortunate thing is that Tiago can't fit into the flat 4-4-2 that Juve uses.

So unless Tiago is able to suddenly perform half the defernsive duties of Nocerino or Zanetti, he won't make it into the midfield. That or play with a 4-3-3. And we are not using the 4-3-3 for various reasons which I won't go into.

It's unfortunate becaus Tiago can be a very useful player.....Oh well let's see how the next 6 months go. Hopefully he can improve his defensive side and bench Nocerino.

Dru, I don't know how you can say that about Tiago. Do you think Mourinho would not only like, but continuously play Tiago at Chelsea if the guy fails at the basics of football?
I understand your point but the problem is tiago himself. Its more than obvious that he is a sorry player not worth a fucking penny we spent on him. Its not ranieri's fault that tiago can't successfully slide a pass to a teammate or maintain possession long enough to get rid of the ball when he is challenged. That’s all on the player, not on the coaching staff.

Its kinda like in basketball when someone d's up on you, it’s a natural thing as the ball handler to guard the ball so that the defender has a difficult time accessing it. Or when you make a pass you step into it for power, not just lolly-gag the ball which allows the defenders to pick it off. These are the fundamentals that I saw tiago fuck up on numerously on Saturday. I'm not talking about winning every challenge, I'm talking about holding your own to keep the attack alive. I'm not talking about 30 yd crosses, I'm talking about 5 yd slide passes that are so mundane that no one would expect a professional to fuck up on about 5 times in 1 half of play.

mourinho didn't put him in a 422. he had makalele behind him and lampard next to him. at lyon he played in 433, at portugal he played in 433 (or 451 whatever)

he's not a bad player at all, actually he's very good at his natural position, but he's not polyvalent, not at all. above that i really doubt whether he's serie a material, but maybe i think that because he's played 'out of position'. But in most games he got completely overrun by the opponents' midfield, he was nowhere around.

but ok .. if it was up to you, you would probably build a 433 around tiago

We already played 18 games with a weak defense and poor midfielder and we didn't loose too much!! And Tiago isn't just so bad like you are saying!! Our team would play better!! Believe me!!

I would not risk 9pts just to give him a chance. we are in a scudetto race, not summer training camp with weekly scrimmages
For ypur point of view Del Piero is also a "shit player" i mean in euro 2000 he failed 2 goals alone with france goalkeeper and Italia lost the final. So that doesn't make Del Piero a bad player. One thing is you don't like tiago and I respect that, other thing is when you saying that Tiago is a bad player. In my opinion he is a excelent player but he is not playing so good as we expect...

your logic is jacked up son, if you think ale is shit then go ahead. but its ludicrous to even try to compare the 2.

2 different situations, 2 different scenarios and 2 different players.

get ya neck rite
