If I was a Tiago I would certainly feel insulted by sending me in before 3 minutes of the whistle.
he's getting paid some pretty good money, isnt he ??

Watch the way we control the ball in midfield and lack any ideas going forward and tell me we don't need Tiago. If we want to actually win against the best sides in Italy, we need Tiago. That's all there is to it.
no doubt we could use a creative player in the midfield...but from what I've seen of Tiago, I can guarantee he isnt what we're looking for

Or be satisfied with our performance so far and Giovinco in the summer.

I don't see a problem in starting with Nocerino,Zanetti and Tiago at the same time:

Either with a 4-3-3

Tiago Nocerino Zanetti

Iaquinta Trez-DP

or a 4-2-2

Tiago Nocerino Zanetti
___Nedved/Camo
No.

If fit, Nedved and Camo should never be benched. Our team just isn't the same without either of them, let alone without both of them.

Nocerino and Zanetti have outperformed Tiago by miles. Our defensive frailties have remained hidden, because of Nocerino and Zanetti's contributions.

I wouldn't sacfifice one of our forwards to include Tiago either. So for me, there is no place for Tiago. I see no reason to make place for him anyhow.

About Marchionni. I think he is a good player. If Camo and Marchionni are both fit, we have the best midfield in Italy. Shame Camo has been injured a lot this season, which wasn't the case normally. Marchionni has always been injuryprone, which has turned him into damaged goods. With a lot of playing time, Marchionni could get back to his old level. Chance are though, that he'll get injured again before finding his form. Same with Andrade, who I see as damaged goods.

I suppose people here will never learn. Yeah, lets bash a guy we've only seen play for Juventus a few times, even when he was integral to helping us win one of the two Serie A matches he started. Lets bash the guy because Nocerino and Zanetti seem to be working even though they aren't working in terms of providing a scoring threat or creativity in midfield. Lets bash the guy because he had a bad match in the Coppa, his first appearance in weeks and his first start since October. We should not give this player, I mean flop, a chance.

This place is stricken with idiots.
But then again, you are bashing Molinaro who was quite good every time he played. And on the other hand, defending Grygera, Almiron and Tiago who certainly don´t deserve to be put on a pedestal. OK, Tiago maybe has some sort of future because he wasn´t bad in Serie A matches but I can´t say I am too optimistic.

Spot on, Dom. Good post.

Also, its unfair to bench him 99% of the time, then throw him in Empoli game, where all played bad...and then come out and say I gave him a chance and he failed to impress me!!!
Thats nonsense.

I think you're looking at this a bit one-sided. Sure, Nocerino and Zanetti certainly protect our defense nicely, but when Tiago has started in Serie A he was far more dangerous with the ball going forward. Without question. So what we gain with two destroyers in midfield we lose going forward with someone who's good with the ball at his feet. No matter what midfield duo you prefer, it's not fair to bench Tiago the whole season and only bring him on during stoppage time.

And Tiago has outperformed Zanetti and Nocerino in terms of providing assists. Tiago has two assists in only two starts. I think Nocerino and Zanetti both have two and they've played 13 or so more matches.

But then again, you are bashing Molinaro who was quite good every time he played. And on the other hand, defending Grygera, Almiron and Tiago who certainly don´t deserve to be put on a pedestal. Molinaro has been quite good every time he played? Come on, that's laughable. Until last week, Molinaro was absolutely horrendous and most people on here would admit that.

Moreover, I wasn't defending Grygera per se. I was simply not agreeing with people who said Molinaro has been better than the Czech because it's simply not true. Molinaro could have cost us a point to Inter twice, one of which when he passed Cruz the ball on our own 18. Grygera hasn't done something that idiotic as far as I know.

Exactly. Quite frankly that's just a horrible way to treat your players, something that I thought Ranieri would never do. But this isn't the same Ranieri we have come to love over the years.

Looks like he's another Capello. Long balls, long balls, and more long balls. Bring back Deschamps. With Deschamps, we would see our wingers cut in and give a short pass or a through ball into the box.

Say whaat? :D You used to like Ranieri? He was on my top 5 worst managers list untill he came to Juventus. I still have serious doubts about his abilities but he's here and doing fairly well so far so he has my benefit of a doubt.
