Tiago has been playing alongside Zanetti in the last couple of days during training games. I think there's a chance to see him starting. But who knows.

Don't get me wrong, I'd like that to be the case but I just don't see it happening, especially after such a Palermo performance.

Funny, Ranieri plays Almiron with Tiago against Empoli. It's currently half time, Empoli is winning, both midfielders seemingly have no chemistry whatsoever and are unable to assist the defence. How much do you want to bet that Ranieri uses this as justification as to why Tiago is on the bench?

He knows wats the best line-up to field ... and all of us will have to give him the benefit of doubt

If the match result against empoli is anything to go by, then Ranieri has probably justified why Nocerino and Zanetti is his prefered midfiled pairing and why Tiago and Almiron is not in it as this point of time .... :frown:

I think they partnered up together in some pre-season games but that was a long time ago. When nocerino came in our midfield was alot more balanced. tiago-nocerino could make a good pairing.

Both Tiago & Almiron need a defensive minded midfielder next to them. it helps them enormously, it'd like to see Tiago-Zanetti combo, but i doubt Tinkerman will

I don't think there is any way that Zanetti won't be in the first eleven with the way he's playing so far. IMO he's been fantastic! Not only defending very well but also giving some really clever and dangerous passes.

I must say i am sick of this tiago defending, lets face it, nocerino-zanetti works very well, no need to brake that partnership. I just cant see tiago having a major future with us. Sell him and bring in marchioso. As we might get rid of both almiron and tiago, another DM could be needed aka sissoko, gilberto, mascerano? Those guys are proper DM-s, who play physically.

I suppose people here will never learn. Yeah, lets bash a guy we've only seen play for Juventus a few times, even when he was integral to helping us win one of the two Serie A matches he started. Lets bash the guy because Nocerino and Zanetti seem to be working even though they aren't working in terms of providing a scoring threat or creativity in midfield. Lets bash the guy because he had a bad match in the Coppa, his first appearance in weeks and his first start since October. We should not give this player, I mean flop, a chance.

I would take the chance of playing Tiago and partner Zanetti or Nocerino .

i think Tiago has something to give Juve unlike Almiron .

He isn't a starter for us but look how much assists he made :

2 against Empoli for Trezeguet
1 against Parma for Legro
and played a great game against Reggina when he started that match , even yesterday he had a great assist for DP but the freak ref called it off-side and it wasn't .

it's it obvious that we need someone like him to move the ball forward , remember Udinese , Parma and inter games ?

so , i'm not always with Zanetti - Nocerino partnership .
