I'd rather take Thiago Motta if Barca were to give anyone up, but I think it's best if we just keep Tiago for the time being.

EDIT: Motta is at Athletico now. Shit.

Barca Sucks.

Just Rumours.
Tiago is going nowhere at least until the summer.
his father has put his 2 cents worth in

Tiago's Father: My Son Would Love To Join Barcelona

Tiago's father insists that his son would welcome a move from Juventus to Barcelona...

zoom - galleria Carlos Mendes, Tiago's father and representative, has expressed his delight in Barcelona's alleged interest in his son.

Working alongside Tiago's other agent, Jorge Mendes, Carlos seems to believe that a switch to Catalunya is just what his son's ailing career needs as his time at Juventus proves frustrating.

"The call of a great club like Barça is a cause for joy," he told Sport.es.

"It would be a really interesting proposal. But the player signed a contract with Juventus this summer, and the clubs would have to agree.

"When we learned of this interest... the boy was very happy. It's a great club, so that would excite anyone."

Jorge Mendes added, "Tiago would love to play at the Camp Nou.

"At Juventus, he's not taking opportunities, but what every professional wants to do most is play."

Still, Carlos warned that there is a long way to go yte if a move is to be agreed.

"Long ago the press started talking about Barça's interest; now we must wait to see if there's anything concrete," he said.

Tiago, still only 26, has failed to settle since arriving at Juve this summer from Lyon, with whom he spent two impressive seasons.

He has 37 caps for Portugal.

Tiago dreams of Barca

Thursday 15 November, 2007
-----------------------------------
Juventus midfielder Tiago Mendes has his heart set on a January switch to Barcelona, according to his agent.

The Portuguese midfielder has failed to acclimatise to life in Turin after arriving from Lyon in the summer.

Having found himself frozen out of Claudio Ranieri’s plans, the ex-Chelsea man is delighted at Spanish Press reports linking him with Barcelona.

“Barca are one of those sides that players dream of representing,” Jorge Mendes admitted.

“It has to be said that the player was happy to see his name linked with Barcelona.

“The lad has a contract with Juventus so any deal will have to go through the Bianconeri.

"But he would love to move to the Nou Camp because he hasn’t had a chance to prove himself at Juventus.”

Barca boss Frank Rijkaard is the driving force behind the deal and any January transfer depends on the Dutch tactician keeping his job – by no means a formality with the Catalan giants lagging in third place.

The Old Lady will look to recoup the £9m that they paid in the summer, but they would be likely to accept an offer of around £7m.

They are different kinds of players. Ranieri played a 4-3-3 with Parma with this midfield:

Dessena - Cigarini - Parravicini

With Cigarini being a playmaker who was doing really well. If he's planning to do something similar with Juve I would be very glad.
