Like I said, the only difference between Poulsen and Tiago is that latter scores own goals while Poulsen provides assists for opponents.

Those who bashed Tiago and defend Poulsen are funny.
If you compare between both of them is quite not right. Poulsen bought as DM and he never have amazing record in assist and goal in his previous club, but Tiago has quite good record in goal and assists in Lyon and Chelsea...

Selling Tiago has become another saga, while Poulsen who just linked recently to move to Liverpool has gone, Tiago's transfer process is still proceeding. Damn, Tiago, i think Tiago want to get his last 2.6m salary this month from us while he is not even training rather than train with his new club, adapt but getting a lower salary

Yeah, I don't think Tiago is paid 2,6 million a month.

Atletico Madrid remain hopeful that they’ll be able to conclude a deal with Juventus for Tiago Mendes.

The Spanish outfit want to sign the player outright after his successful six-month loan stint with the La Liga club.

Negotiations though have proved problematic and there is still no deal in place, but Atletico chief Enrique Cerezo believes the Portuguese player will eventually be theirs.

“There are no easy discussions at this time,” the President told Cadena Ser. “It is only normal that deals are done late.

“We have maintained our position over Tiago for the last month and we hope that there will be a positive resolution.

“Actually, I think that we will be able to complete the operation.”

Tiago, signed from Lyon in 2007, has been made available for transfer by new Juve director general Beppe Marotta.

The Old Lady are hoping to get around €6m for the former Chelsea player.

Do you really think that the characteristics of the two players are so similar?

I bashed Tiago, for his attitude on and off the pitch, and for his low production. He's better when fielded as an attacking player, Poulsen's a pure DM, and frankly, Tiago didn't produce at all (in fairness, he was never really given a true shot, or used properly).

I have also defended Poulsen - more so lately, than in the first season... mostly because when we bought him, he wasn't the player I wanted, or thought Juve needed at the time.

Directly contrary to Tiago's faults, I tend to praise Poulsen for his excellent professionalism, and his attitude on and off the pitch. Always ready to sacrifice himself for the team. Plus, he hasn't locked any of our directors in the freaking toilet. :D

Rollie has some good points, but they should have found new teams last summer transfer window. Just imagine if they would have been replaced and one(or both) of those replacements could have made a positive impact in our dismal season, at least clinching a CL spot.
