I doubt this report is true, but I would be extremely tempted to do this deal.

I'm also not convinced that, even if everything else was agreed, Tiago would agree to stay in Italy, even though he knows Mourinho.

i guess the tiago stankovic swap would not be bad ... mourinho won't get anything out of tiago if he does not change his 4-3-3 formation that won't work in serie a.
Jose never played 433 in uk.I guess he wanted to try it as he had lots of attackers as well few injuries in midfield.
Im sure, he will not play 433 in italy..

You know, I was thinking we would be stupid enough to offer Tiago for an Inter player.

If we give Tiago to Mourinho we are even bigger fucktards than previously thought.

He actually knows how to use the player for Christs sake.

hmm. I disagree because I don;t think Tiago would provide Inter with that much. He would make up the numbers in midfield I guess and he is ok. But only ok at his very best.

Stankovic on the other hand would provide us with much more. He is more talented than Tiago, more versatile and has more of an impact on a game.

Either way Tiago does not play here. We might as well bring in someone who would play here if we can. Especially seeing how Stank is someone Ranieri wants. He would give our mid experience and quality.

Big No, It would be insane. Tiago just needs confidence and place where he can play his game properly. Inter would be the ideal place for him and of course this wont be the first time where we have helped them. :disagree:

What would stankovic bring? nothing. We got enough battlers, enough midfielders. A player with flair would have been nice but apart from that the squad is solid.

im happy with what we have got as ive given up hope of us going for some real stars/potential.

So you seriously want to take the chance of Tiago excelling with a manager that he's already done well under? At Inter of all clubs?

I mean, we would be setting ourselves up for a disaster here. I've had nightmares of giving Tiago to Inter and having him play well against us on many occasions. Seriously, I knew something like this would happen as soon as Mourinho took charge at Inter.

I do NOT want to pull an Inter and let them make up for Cannavaro deal.

I agree that seeing Tiago excel at Inter will be hard to swallow, but that fact that Tiago did well in Chelsea under Mourinho, doesn't mean he will do good under Mourinho at Inter. It's a whole different story here.

I doubt Mourinho wants Tiago in his team.
If i can conclude anything from Inter's mercato so far it's that Mourinho will play 4-3-3 (or call it 4-5-1 or 4-3-2-1) with 3 strong central midfielders, 2 attacking wingers and a striker.

Even though Inter already had 4 DMC's and not even one single creative midfielder, Mourinho decided to buy Muntari for 16m eur. Why didn't Mourinho buy a creative CM that doesn't defend ? Because he doesn't need one.
The game Mancini prefered, without a creative CM, worked pretty well and Mourinho will stick to it.
Zanetti, Cambiasso, Vieira and Muntari will play in central midfield (with Dacourt and Pele as two more options). All of them hard workers with great defensive skills. No place for Tiago there.

It's a different story but do we want to set ourselves up for embarrassment? Because that will naturally happen.
No, I totally agree in this regard.

Considering Mancini will be on the left, who will be on the right? Defianitely not Figo

Maybe its not quite about whether he wants. Rather for him its about getting rid of a player who he dont want and bring in a player who he could bring something different for a change. I think mourinho likes to experiment try something different he wants a portuguese compatriot maybe? We have seen that he always wants a few of his boys in the past. Quaresma is a little difficult to get Tiago might be the easiest option.

Lotito: Stankovic! Why Not?
Lazio President Claudio Lotito has admitted the club may make a move for former player Dejan Stankovic.

The Lazio President was a guest on SportItalia's Calciomercato special and had surprising news for Biancocelesti fans about Lazio's transfer market.

Dejan Stankovic doesn't seem to have the confidence of new Inter coach Jose Mourinho, and Lotito says the player is on the team's radar. However, he will only arrive under certain conditions.

"If the club (Lazio) set certain parameters and then he (Stankovic) finds a consensus with Mourinho - under these conditions, why not?" he said.

Stankovic would likely have to take a pay cut, but Lazio would still have to invest a significant amount of money in the transfer.

Lazio are looking for a playmaker after Cristian Ladesma recently made it clear his intention is to leave the club after some contract disagreements.

Finally, Lotito ruled out a move for a different Inter player, saying there had been "no contact with Inter" about young Portuguese central midfielder Pelè.
