Ranieri: Tiago Is A Flop
After a year of doubts, Claudio Ranieri, has finally given his honest opinion of Tiago, saying the midfielder is a flop.
The Old Lady signed the Portuguese player from Lyon last season but, as soon as he arrived, he just went downhill.

He never managed to convince Ranieri or the club on the pitch. Time and again he was woeful.

The 'Tinkerman’ has finally realised that Tiago needs to be sent on a one way ticket out of Turin and he has described the midfielder as a flop.

“The whole of Europe believes he is a great player but to me it’s all a mystery,” Ranieri told Il Corriere Dello Sport.

“There are flops in football and sometimes you cannot always give reason.

“A lot of fans and players have also given me their views on Tiago.”

Sportmediaset claims that the player has already left the team at their training camp and he is on his way back to Portugal.

Tiago did show great potential but he was never able to get it together in Serie A.

I think Ranieri has been quoted out of context or has been misquoted.

What he meant to say was that Tiago has been a disappointment since joining Juventus.

This latest news that his family has decamped to Portugal and that he has vacated his rented accommodation in Turin is evidence that his days as a Juventus player can be no more than around 20/30. I suspect we will be surprised at the loss we will take when a club sells to Benfica or similar in August.

The proceeds should be put towards a top class central defender if Jorge Andrade is all but finished at the top level. On this score, I assume we are covered by insurance.

I think this movement with house is a good news.
Lets offload Almiron and Tiago, and give chance to youngsters..They were brilliant so far..Plus we shall have , Gio, Marchiso and de Cegle back soon..

I sense Tiago doesnt want to leave, unless he gets an offer from a very competitive team of the Spanish championship and we are determined to sell him to the best buyer, probably originated from the EPL,
therefore, our managers used their pawn ( CR ) to force Tiago out of our team indirectly with those comments...

I wasn't a fan of Tiago before he came to Juventus, and he hasn't really impressed me either. He didn't work hard enough on the pitch.

Currently our midfield looks like this

RM: Camoranesi, Marcchionni
CM+DM: Sissoko, Zanetti, Ekdal, Marchisio, Poulsen
LM+OM: Nedved, Giovinco, Rossi (+ De Ceglie)

I think thats a decent midfield.. Providing no loans are made.

Cronios, you could do better than this..
If Tiago doesn't want to go, why he dont prove his point on pitch. Do you think we can afford paying and not getting results? Im sure not even Andy bought his shirt.
He is the guy who should be equal to someone like Alonso. Players talk with feet and not hiding behind the ball.
All supporters were behind him as always. But he never impressed , never, not even single game..He was good, or average but never impressed anyone.

Why are you saying that CR is someone's pawn? Cos he is less payed coach than any of the top teams, cos he took pay cut even he could get 3 times more from Man. City?
Cos he has to work with players which are thrown at him and with limited budget? He has been always positive about Juve and players, and Tiago too. You should know better.
CR done more than any other coach would do for Juve in last season, and that is thank you to him?
Or you say this cos its been interpreted by media again?

Tiago had offer from Tottenham last january, but he kindly refused.

However what really makes me happy, is that we will stop talking about him very soon, and start talking about Rossi, Ekdal, Gio, De Cegle, Marchiso, (Molinaro) and so on..
