Bremen: Frings to stay
Midfielder Torsten Frings will remain at Werder Bremen, according to the club's sporting director Klaus Allofs.
Frings, out of contract in 2009, is the subject of interest from fallen Italian giants Juventus. However Allofs insists that Frings will stay with the club for the remainder of his deal.
"Torsten will remain here," he said. "He has a contract until 2009 and there is no way that he will leave before that ends."
In addition to that, Allofs claims that Germany veteran Frings, 30, will extend his stay at the Weserstadion.
"We want to speak with him about the renewal of the contract," he added. "We do not want to wait until 2008 to do this. We will begin the negotiations [soon]."
