He looks very nice with Juve jersey. :D I would be pleased with his signing, he can do a very good job in midfield. Also I would like a younger DM, a potential star like Mavuba to rotate him with Frings.

Aggiornamenti Su Frings

Torsten Frings è uno deciso, in campo e fuori.

Frings is a very good player. I would not say no to him. It's good to get him and maybe another but young DMF. We can't just go get youngsters, we might not be able to reach CL spot then.

FORZA JUVE!

Frings considers Juve move Wednesday 4 April, 2007

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Werder Bremen midfielder Torsten Frings has confirmed that he may join Juventus at the end of the season.

The German international was paired with the Bianconeri recently, but Werder’s sporting director Klaus Allofs had insisted that the ace would honour his contract that runs until 2009.

However, Frings has today admitted that a Turin switch may be on the cards for the 2007-08 campaign.

“Juventus want me at all costs,” said Frings to Bild Zeitung. “They are interested in me not as any midfielder, but as the midfielder.

“I am seriously considering this option,” added the player, who returned to Bremen in 2005 after two seasons with Borussia Dortmund and one at Bayern Munich.

Meanwhile, Allofs’ position seems to have changed as the official has now claimed that he wouldn’t stand in the way of the proposed transfer.

“I am surprised that he is speaking so openly about this, but we will not let this put us under pressure,” said the director.

“When you sign a contract you commit to honouring it, but if Torsten does not want to stay then I will not put chains on him to drag him to training in the morning.”

Other transfer whispers in Italy on Wednesday suggest that Juventus, who have already captured Zdenek Grygera from Ajax and Hasan Salihamidzic of Bayern Munich, want Obafemi Martins.

Tuttosport claims that Newcastle are willing to sell the former Inter striker for £11m and the Bianconeri are considering the idea of making the move happen.

Really all this bla bla makes me feel sick. One week we're getting closer to him next week he's on the verge to sign a new deal with his team. 3rd week he's again close to sign for us, and so on.

This is becoming really sad.

Frings was always someone playing games. He left Werder before (to Dortmund) with much trouble. And he left Bayern with trouble, too, saying that every mile he came closer to Bremen on the highway made him feel better. Just a couple of weeks ago before the first Juve rumours he said the only transfer he would make would be Aachen (his youth club) at the end of his career. He isn't honest and reliable in such things and has more than once forced his clubs to transfers. That's the negative about him. But I rate him high as a player.

I don't see the reason why would Newcastle sell Martins he is their best player, and also I'm not really big fan of him he have great speed but he is lacking tehnical ability. And btw this really really became stupid to link us with every possible attacker in the world.

still 8 mil for a 31 year old is too much
It is a bit much but in return we will get plenty of cash if we can manage to qualify for the Champions League. That's why I think this investment is a good one, seeing as it strengthens our chances of achieving that particular objective. Frings will be a great addition to our squad, and I'm sure he can play at his very best for at least two seasons.

Him joining us seems more and more likely by the day.

Frings is a good signing for short period, meaning maybe for 2 next seasons. I want a young star too....
