Us South Africans like to think of SA as the America of Africa but some South Africans refuse to accept that we do have some backward ppl here.:D
:D so true thats why the rest of Africa hate us, those 'backward ppl' are not so bad either, Have you been mugged lately? Only after the ordeal you realize that you were mugged. They so polite its amazing they walk up to you ask how are you and what not and they politely ask for your fone and if you have a shyt fone they politely say thanks but no thanks and walk away.

Now you tell me which is better South Africa or rest of africa? :D

My most memorable travel experience was living with a black working class family in South Africa, and not the countless trips to tourist resorts along the Mediterranean.

Good choice, jasper. Good luck.
NO you didn't :D living in South Africa with a middle class or lower class family cant be compared to living in Gambia
South Africa >>>>>>>>> Africa :D

Whether it's better than Gambia or not, some of the things I saw in South Africa were horrendous and can't be glorified in any way. And still, it was a better experience than drinking a San Miguel on a Benidorm beach.

No they hate us because they say we are privileged & greedy capitalists. The whole xenophobic attacks didnt help either & the funny part is that black folk here are far more aggressive towards their fellow africans.

Trust me ive had my fair share of taxi's,bree & noord street.:D

You missed one GROOT PIEL :D
Too bad its uncircumcised.:D

Cape Town and its surroundings and then went with car eastward along the coast. Unfortunately never had time for the north.
Cape Town is not bad in any sense of the word, maybe in black/coloured surrounding townships but definitely not central Cape Town.
