Patience is running out.
There are some obvious easy decisions in this squad that worryingly he doesn't seem to have figured out:
1. McKennie can't play as a centre mid. He's effective as a player floating between midfield and attack to make the most of his movement. If you try to play him in CM we effectively lose a midfielder in the position. If you want to play him, which is fine given his goal in midweek, you play Koop or someone else next to Thuram.
2. Sometimes we need to be direct. You can't always pass it around sideways with safe passes, sometimes you need to get the players to try a risky pass or go in behind to stretch a team.
3. Weah contributes far more on the left.
4. It's time to try Yildiz in the middle, especially when we are stuggling to keep the ball.
5. We need players around Vlahovic who is too isolated (this is where we pick one of McKennie, Yildiz or Koop to play off him).
6. Luiz is a liability in our half. If we play him it needs to be as far away from the goal as possible.
What is also worrying is that every single time we have had a positive result that you think could kick start our season we have blown it. When it keeps happening you have to start looking at the manager to see why we aren't riding the wave of enthusiasm into the next game. We should be flying in the first 20 mins after those games. Why are we losing the enthusiasm after those results?
