Bar Bremer, everyone is back. Absolutely no excuses anymore for this shitshow.
And Cabal but the problem is the same as last season. We're so fucking slow and predictable in attack. The only real threat is Conceicao...

Expected (and still expect actually) much more from Motta's attacking gameplan tbh...

this team isn't prepared for 2 matches per week, neither physically, nor tactically. the amount of injuries is surely a nuisance, we didn't have a single defender on the bench, still, it shouldn't be an excuse for the lack of plan b

Patience is running out.

There are some obvious easy decisions in this squad that worryingly he doesn't seem to have figured out:

1. McKennie can't play as a centre mid. He's effective as a player floating between midfield and attack to make the most of his movement. If you try to play him in CM we effectively lose a midfielder in the position. If you want to play him, which is fine given his goal in midweek, you play Koop or someone else next to Thuram.
2. Sometimes we need to be direct. You can't always pass it around sideways with safe passes, sometimes you need to get the players to try a risky pass or go in behind to stretch a team.
3. Weah contributes far more on the left.
4. It's time to try Yildiz in the middle, especially when we are stuggling to keep the ball.
5. We need players around Vlahovic who is too isolated (this is where we pick one of McKennie, Yildiz or Koop to play off him).
6. Luiz is a liability in our half. If we play him it needs to be as far away from the goal as possible.

What is also worrying is that every single time we have had a positive result that you think could kick start our season we have blown it. When it keeps happening you have to start looking at the manager to see why we aren't riding the wave of enthusiasm into the next game. We should be flying in the first 20 mins after those games. Why are we losing the enthusiasm after those results?

He's gotta go. Seen enough just like the first 2 months of max. You will not score goals like this. It's impossible.

Hardly any attacks are played through the middle. Constant possession ball with no end product and just relying on Yildiz to cut in, do a one two with Vlahovic into the box and hope something happens.

The injuries aren't an excuse for how disconnected and clueless this team is. A lot of teams are in injury crises. The midfield just isn't getting whatever Motta is trying to do. That's why Luiz and Koop are flopping so hard.

I'm just waiting on his post match analysis. Like he said before the game, sitting away from the bench he will see things that he can't while on the bench. Now hopefully he's learnt what isn't going well, atleast in terms of positioning. I mean we all see it, I'm hoping he gets there too. It's painful, but in part we have some players who just don't understand what wearing this shirt means. However against a broken and depressed city they did. Well tonight we learnt Venezia are not broken, time to roll up them socks. I'll give him till march before I give up.
