Also we were playing 1 game a week. Really unfair comparison given the fact that we play 2 extra games in CL now as well.

We made too many changes in one summer and we don't have a suitable squad for multiple competitions. There's still too much rebuilding work to be done.

And then the worst part is how unlucky we have been with injuries. It's just 4 months and he deserves the benefit of the doubt. There are just too many things going against the coach that we blame our struggle entirely on him. Sure he can make some tactical adjustments but he's had some rough circumstances to deal with thus far.

It would take a monumental fuck up from Motta for us to not continue with him for at least the next couple of years.

There are 2-3 players who have been very disappointing so far but I expect us to gradually improve in our play once we have all players returning from injury.

I repeat this is a transition season and we are on course to achieve our objectives.

The question i have is if the teams above us...the likes of napoli inter and even atalanta...had similar injuries..would they be getting better results and playing well? Take their best CB, all striker options and a couple of midfielders away and see how they go.
