Big part of his success last season is the sport director at Bologna. He is now stuck with Junktoli.

Another thing is that he is stubborn in choosing certain players.

Meh

When you have terrorist coaches defended on this board more than their own family for the last 3 years, any new coach coming in deserves time despite all the challenges. We were bound to have results like these. It's a shame that Bremer's injury has pretty much derailed our season.

First thing he needs to do is to stop playing Danilo. He's become an obvious liability now.

And time for the expensive signings to step up. We've mostly relied on last season's players to make the difference but now it is really time for the likes of Koop, Nico when he returns and David Luiz to make a difference.

I will continue to be patient. Fully trust the process.

Why dont we counter as well as we used to at the start of the season? We would throw everyone forward even if we were already winning. 4 or 5 times today it felt like watching Allegri all over again. Just stop, backpass, allow opposition to track back.

Juventus have drawn 16 out of 30 Serie A games in 2024 (W10 L4): the most in the Europe’s Big- 5 leagues; This has only happened once in the clubs history, when Juve recorded more draws in a single calendar year in their history in the Italian top-flight: 17 in 1956(Opta)

I don't know if this is a steep learning process kind of thing for the team and Motta himself, but Motta simply needs to settle on a starting lineup. He's been experimenting for too long now. For the last few weeks, the starting eleven was obvious and he still made critical errors.

He is losing my trust by continuing to played Danilo and to a lesser extent Vlahovic.
With Vlahovic we have no alternative. These were probably the games where we might see Nico as a striker but he is dead.

Danilo should never play, I agree, we need depth.

I do think Thiago Motta might be in his head a bit in regards to rotation because of the CL, injuries and not only playing 1 game a week.

I think he simply expected us to win. However its best when you keep playing your best team so that they can gel. Yildez was red hot last game, should have started.

Not starting Danilo with such high line in defence would be a good start.

Its frustrating to keep dropping points like tonight but we will need to be patient. This indeed is transitional season. I see some good patterns in our game but our defense has been worst in years. 6 goals conceded in the last 2 matches, plenty of shots we allowed on target. Obviously he needs to stop playing Danilo. With Koop back, lets see how this shapes up.

Yeah definitely transition season with a weaker squad and injuries.

He rightfully gets some slack because we are clearly rebuilding but the results and performances are miles off where we should be at the moment.

But I'm confident that Allegri with this squad and with those fixtures would be on more points. And no that is not a comment to praise Allegri or defend him or say that we were wrong/want him back. It is a benchmark to the last point we can judge Motta against. The key difference is that with Allegri we were going nowhere with terrible football and was rightfully dismissed. It's still too early to fully judge but there will be a point where Motta needs to show that the dip in results will be worth it in the long run.

Don't you just love how synonymous Jj and bad records have become in the last 4-5 seasons?
