Having a meltdown while the team is still undefeated is silly, the only big problem we currently have is yildiz and vlahovic being not effective in this system. They need to roam more, not just then but everyone in the attacking phase though, they need to learn from Kalulu ironically.

not a meltdown at all. i am observing that he is out of his depth at this level.

look at all the draws + lack of goals coming from anyone not named vlahovic.

you will counter he is new coach and lots of new players. i will counter then why didn't he play more friendlies instead of just 3 + why did guintoli leave signings so late?

either motta is incompetent or guintoli is. pick which one to blame

Joint top in Serie A, still unbeaten and 2 wins out of 2 in CL

'Out of his depth' after 10 games of largely positive results (with plenty of injuries)

Stfu baldy. Go watch ice hockey or something

xperd my friend. do you remember when we raised the point about allegri's football during period team was winning 1-0 last season but it was cbs scoring goals? how it wasn't acceptable or sustainable football? how the team will crash eventually?

remember how the allegri cultists said exact same version of your posts? like juvejay, juve123 and vlad?

look at you now. your are the cultist.

Allegro was given 3 years time and he produced the same insipid, dire football refusing to change anything, defending his garbage but this time with zero results.

If Motta does the same over the course of his time, I'll join the bandwagon but it's fucking crazy to point fingers at him when we've only seen two months of Motta's JJ.

We still don't know our best eleven and Motta is still experimenting at this point as we've made a lot of changes and the transition to a team coached by a terrorist to a proper football team is going to take time.

I also look at moments so far where signs are encouraging. Like the Leipzig game for example. The team pushed to win. They were not happy sitting back which is what Allegro would've done 9 out of 10 times.

Its a transition season. You need to chill out with the extreme criticism.

It’s clear you don’t watch our games.

Under Allegri last season we would often play for a 0-0 from the first minute, would concede possession to the other team and sit back for 90 minutes. We had zero control over our games. If we somehow took the lead we’d sit back even more.

Under Motta we are controlling our games very well. Our opponents hardly have a sniff at our goal because they can’t get a hold of the ball for meaningful amounts of time.

When we lead, not only do we not sit back, but instead we are more likely to score because opponents tend to open up and leave more spaces at the back.

The tough part for Motta has been unlocking parked buses. I do hope we can add some unpredictability and urgency in our attack.

Overall, it’s been a marked improvement over last season so far.

Y'all falling for Lion's bait. :baus:
there is no bait. it's been established by now that my observations are to be taken seriously due to how accurate they are.

now is not time to be upset about the truth, but be prepared when the team starts crashing. just like in 2009/2010 season

i want to say first of all thank you both for writing a detailed and nice posts with no insults. this is what the forum is about, different analysis and perspectives.

i sincerely from bottom of my heart hope i am wrong and you both get to make fun of me in future seasons for me being dramatic for no reason.

we should start banging goals so that these possession and passing related stats would make any sense. still, i feel that we're on a right track

Wingers and midfielders need to be more involved. Yildiz in particular had done nothing since early September which is very worrying . Koop also needs to start scoring once he is back. Chico and Nico played fine before so not worried about them.

Hope motta can fix this

It was unwatchable, one of the ugliest plays I’ve ever seen last years under Allegri.

Juventus count 196 open play sequences with 10+ passes in the current SerieA campaign: no team in the major five European leagues have done better than the Bianconeri (along with Real Madrid). Spiderweb.

Motta:

"Tomorrow we have to play a complete game, Stuttgart are good with the ball and when they regroup it becomes difficult to penetrate their defence, they have a way of understanding football that I like, but these are the most beautiful games to play.
In Leipzig I experienced a beautiful moment: in the difficulty, a positive energy was created that infected everyone, both on the pitch and on the bench. We came out in the right way, taking a deserved and very beautiful win. But now we are focused on tomorrow and have only Stuttgart on our minds.
We must continue to improve in all aspects, both in terms of the game and mentally: we must be humble and only think about the next game, having the right attitude and wanting to do things together, as a team, in the right way.
I consider everyone to be a starter, but each player is different: I demand the same from everyone, but I know that everyone must be treated according to his gifts and abilities. My ‘victory’ is to have strong players at my disposal: if we all go in the same direction, knowing that personal goals come through teamwork, it makes our job easier.
We have to keep an eye on all the Stuttgart players, collectively they know what to do: we have to fight to control the game, because Stuttgart play good football and involve a lot of players in the offensive phase. We must not let them trouble us, they know what to do on the pitch and we must take the game to where it suits us.
I am happy with the work Yildiz does on the pitch, he puts all his quality at the disposal of the team: he can certainly do better, but I am happy with what I see him doing. He's only born in 2005, he's already making an impact and I'm happy with what I see both as a wide player and when he comes in more centrally, as a defensive and offensive player.
Danilo? Everyone can be a starter tomorrow, while Cambiaso could captain again. We face a good team that has a very prepared coach, the age of those sitting on the bench is not important. McKennie can always be useful on the pitch, at the moment he thinks like everyone else only of Stuttgart and not our next game against Inter. Whoever plays tomorrow will give 200%.
It will be a different game to the last one, it's not just us who have difficulties against teams that close down well: everyone struggles, football is like that and that's why we have to give our all, believing until the end in our strategy and in what we prepare during the week. We hope to perform well, playing good football: that way we will have a better chance of winning.
There is no difference between the league and the Champions League: we must always have the same attitude, then each match is a story in itself - with evolving strategies and situations. We have to be better than Stuttgart."

Needs more time to prove himself. Jury is still out.

EDIT

I know I'm a hypocrite here, but the loss is on him.

Taking off Val and Con then putting on a 2o year defender with no experience.

Hopefully he learns from this.
