By the 9th game, there should be some semblance of a fairly well drilled and cohesive unit. Right now, we are playing like a team with ADHD - the potential is there but we look so disjointed and confused.
Of our next 6 games in all competition, 5 are away from home.

Good luck to our coach... at Spezia or Bologna, where he belongs.

I know Motta is a huge proponent of his 2-7-2 systems, but I would like to suggest using the 2-4-3-2 formation. Instead of evaluating the team from the coach's view, you get a better angle from the away fan's section. Lots of intricacies are created by this, worth a try.

Klopp finished 8th with Pool in his first season

Pep with all the riches finished 4th with City in his first season

Arsenal were nowhere near title challengers when Arteta took over the club

It took time and money for these teams to become 'well drilled units'

We have changed almost our entire starting eleven and lost our best player for the season. It's literally 2.5 months of football.

We have survived 3 years of Allegro's terrorism. Surely we can afford to give some time and patience to the new coach.

We don’t have that luxury. The difference is that we cannot afford to not make the top 4. Loosing out on CL means the likes of Bremer are bye bye because we’re broke and will have to sell to keep afloat.

Don’t compare PL clubs with the shitty Serie A.

Context is important. My point was to highlight how all those clubs didnt turn into top teams overnight. You don't become a 'well-drilled' unit with 2 months of football.

Some people here are expecting this team to hit the ground running and become title challengers. After Bremer's injury, we have gotten a reality check.

Top 4 is minimum objective. Even Motta knows that. Anything less than that and then we talk about if we need to move on from him. The club has made an important investment on him and we need to wait and see if it pays off.

@Xperd stop making rational points! That shit don’t fly here

In all seriousness though, I always highlight how stats don’t tell the whole story but in this case it paints a pretty clear picture on where we are.

The very match Bremer got injured was the first time we conceded multiple goals in the season. Then just one clean sheet after that.

I think Motta had a solid foundation at the back but was still figuring out his best attacking options, once that crumbled he’s now left having to quickly find two solutions at once. Danilo has been terrible, our fullbacks aren’t really that special and neither Gatti or Kalulu can perform as well as they did partnering with Bremer.

I try to be fair. If this was Allegri I wouldn’t be bashing him either, it’s a tough spot to be at the moment with the tools he has. He’ll judged at the end of the season obviously but it’s too early now.

Is it just me or does it sound like this guy cant wait for the team to lose a few games in a row and be proven right?
I will admit I can't wait for the team to lose if it means we will get rid of this pretentious thesis coach and hire Zidane. Which we should have done in the first place.

When it comes to be proven right, I'm already proven right when it comes to Motta.

Alright, you have been proven right you say. So how would you have been proven wrong?

With bremer and at least koop, we would probably have 2 or 3 more wins...
That's it for me, more so in not having Bremer, Here's what one journalist wrote of him this summer ...
Another constant presence among the best defenders in Serie A TIM was Gleison Bremer, an irreplaceable rock in the Juventus backline. The strong Brazilian centre-back was the only defender in the league to be in the top three for duels won (second, 187), defensive headed clearances (second, 84) and headed goals scored (third, three). In his second season with Juventus, Bremer confirmed all the good things he had shown in the last few seasons spent in Turin, highlighting his characteristics as a solid and complete defender

Please fellas slow down with talk of Max having more points with this club at quarter-mark of league play. Who cares if even so! We're not looking for a few more points short term, but scudettos and a CL title longer into Motta's regime. Thank you Legend Max but your time in control was over. Damn that boring style of play I'll take with titles but wasn't happening. Under Max little chance coming back against both top clubs like Inter and Leipzig.

Hearing unrealistic talk of let's maybe get Zidane or Kloop etc etc. Will they accept monopoly money? Motto'a had unexpected shot term injuries to key players like Koop and Nico and a bust so far in Luiz. Dusan plays even half his ability, lots more goals so far. Might be some of the same posters here who last year asked why Gatti is on this team now asking why he isn't starting. Doubt Conceicao would get a chance under Max.

I agree with completely with one complaint of tinkering around with the starting 11 too much when injuries aren't present. Like no Yildiz or Gatti starting. It's only 10 matches into league play and winning scudetto sure wasn't what I expected. And if not for a red card we have 7 points in CL. Like Motta giving plenty of youth time to show if they have it or not? I do hope Motta does finally go with more of a set 11 going forward sooner than later.

What was considered starting mids like Koop (injury) and Luiz (bust) along with main scorer Dusan underperforming doesn't help. And Motta's biggest setback is arguably the best CB in serie out for the season. Plenty of youthful new faces on the team and yes Motta picked them, and has been giving them an opportunity but patience is needed with Motta as manager.

this will make it 5th year in a row it's "transitional" season.

i am sorry but i don't agree at all. the minimum aim is to always fight for scudetto. always. juve did it even when coming back from serie b.
