Key decision making has been our weakness...no different to taking too long to move allegri on, we will continue to justify decisions made at the expense of the clubs success.

Motta will be around regardless of where we finish.

Some might prefer to focus on how unlucky we’ve been with injuries to justify what we are witnessing but what is even more impressive is how fortunate we’ve been that despite only winning a record 7 games out of the first 18 rounds in Serie A we are still somehow very much in close contention for Top 4, which again speaks volumes about the inconsistency levels of our competitors too, meaning that in a different season this run of form would have seen us sitting even lower in the table, emphasizing even more our issues, luckily however it is not the case now, not yet at least.

i think key weakness is gambling too much on youngsters, I mean some of this guys - like Savona have become regular starters for us in no time, this guys will make the mistakes, its normal.
U always mix up youngsters with experienced players, but the experienced players we bought are either injured (Douglas Luiz, Nico Gonzalez) or are not living up to the expectations (Koop, Douglas Luiz again lol).
We lack leaders thats for sure. If u think about the best player for Juve this season, who would you come up with? Its not an easy question, because there is probably no one who is a leader here. Most would say Yildiz, but he is not a guy who is carrying the team week by week, he has glimpses of brilliance, still too young.
Conceicao is doing everything he can, but he still only has 3 goals and 5 assists in around 1300 minutes, thats not a bad score for 22 yo, but at Juve u aim higher.
I would even argue that so far, maybe Locatelli is the most important player in this team lol.
We only had one leader last and at the start of this season and it was Bremer, he got injured and we are fucked.
I think Motta deserves criticism, but so does the players, who were bought here to be leaders and so far their impact is minimal. I was really expecting much more from both Koop and Luiz, Luiz became meme player so far and Koop is average at best. Nico was always injured.
I mean u can and should expect this team to play better, but if out of 8 we made this season only 3 are really doing good (MDG, Thuram and Kalulu) and only one of those 3 was actually bought for the first squad then yes, ur fucked.
Our core signings:
Douglas Luiz - 343 minutes in all competitions, no goals or assists, total failure
Koopmeiners - 1537 minutes in all competitions, 2 goals and 3 assists, failure
Nico Gonzalez - 407 minutes in all competitions, 3 goals and 2 assists, total failure

Thiago Motta is the only second coach ever in the history of Juventus to go unbeaten in the first 18 League games of the season. The first was Antonio Conte, who went on to winning the Scudetto.(Opta)

He either doesn’t instruct the players or our squad is just stupid as f, but you need to kill of these games when you’re leading in the last 10 minutes. Start wasting time, kill the tempo, keep the ball in the squad, make some subs, waste time at the corner flag and throw ins. Just keep possession, Get some fouls and kill the damn game.

Dude just doesn’t know a damn thing about winning.

That's happens with an inexperienced coach but still he is quick learner so I am sure we will see many changes in the upcoming months.

Conte also got some reinforcments in the winter that season - i think it was Caceres, Padoin and some striker. Difference is also no European football that season ofc.
Yeah but Conte changed the formation tried different things when we were drawing too many games I hope Motta tries to change his approach and formation.

he did it vs Monza and Cagliari - started 4 attackers and we did win those games, might be his choice vs minor teams, but the problem is, we are visibly vunerable in defence when he does that.

10 wins and 8 draws 38 points.
If we compare 3 matches difference is not far away ( Cagliari, Venezia, Bologna and yesterday against Fiorentina), we should have won that matches. I can include Lecce match as well, all those match we showed that we are capable to beat them but failed to do so

If we won in those 5 matches, we will be on 12 wins and 6 draws with 42 points, basically we will be on the top of the table

Anyone here waching anime Bluelock ? basically all of the trance and flow state explained in the anime is what Motta thesis consist of (if you read all of his thesis, no such explanation about formation what so ever in his thesis). So basically his philosophy is to help his players in their preparation on a daily basis so they can enter their flow state in the matches. to help them improve so they have the right mental set to take the right decision on the field based on the situation that happen in the game
- he improving our fast passing in tight space by doing rondo in every training session.
- Then we can see the players did match practice in every training session too, this is probably to simulate the match
He explain that in "flow state", the player will enjoy themself, and they wont feel tired even they running all day, because of this is affect the players mentally

Against Fiorentina we can see Thuram entering his flow and trance state, you can see that everything he did seems smooth and he enjoy the matches, he confident with the ball and find the right solution

One thing that he stated in his thesis that he hate the player that not playing up to their capability, for example a player with skillful passes like KDB, but in the matches he keep doing back pass and easy pass just to play safe ( he really despise these kind of player)

also, after the restart in january he still got 1 point in 7 out of 11 games, it only clicked for us at the end of the season, where we won almost everything.
edit - i mean he got 1 point from each of 7 games, not total 1 point from all of those 7 games,

conte had pirlo, buffon, del piero, vidal, chiellini, barzagli, licht from day one. they were ALL mature, very high level players. he also had mature, good players like vucinic, matri, pepe, and prospects with potential like marchisio and bonucci. the two squads are simply not comparable. in their best form, only cambiaso and vlahovic would start for that team (and considering his recent form, vlahovic would be currently benched by matri). and the club had actual leadership and a new stadium to boost the morale.

not an excuse for yesterday's result. any decent team should have won a match like that. it was a combination of bad luck and bad match management. still, it's useless to compare that situation with this one, even if you ignore the difference between the coaches.

Inda will make semis of the CL, Milan have a good chance to make top 8 of the CL, Lazio doing well in the EL etc

Serie A will get 5 CL spots again

Calma guys, we are still in contention for CL spots. As my dear friend @juve123 pointed out, Motta is a quick learner for sure and we are playing better football week by week. The results will come so don't judge until March/April or better yet, until the season ends.

Proud to still be undefeated tho :diculo:
