I never said they got it wrong. Their transfers were good, some of them even great, but when you compare the abilities they have in defense and attack together, they end up with an unbalanced squad, which clearly showed in Champions League matches.

Shortsighted? Our defense has been shit for the last couple of years. It will be a freaking crime if we'll yet again fail to properly address our fullback positions for the 5th consecutive time. Defending has been our biggest problem for some time now.
The Milan project, if there is one, I imagine was first win the Scudetto, then focus on Champions League, and I'd say they are doing that quite well. You can't fix everything at once, why do you think they are bringing Mexes and Taiwo now? In our case focusing on fullbacks when our attack is this shitty would be a very bad move, you want Krasic isolated and Pepe on the wing for another year?

Krasic was mostly isolated because he had no one behind him. Do you guys honestly not see the acres of space directly behind him where even an average RB (HELL EVEN SORENSEN) can deliver easy crosses? See, you guys talk about fullbacks only as they relate to the defense. We need better fullbacks more for our ATTACK.

Well, there's that, but mostly that there's no one on the other wing, so teams sitting back can throw 2 or 3 men at Krasic's zone without many worries.

The extra men don't come from one side of the field to the other to cover Krasic. They come from the center mids who don't have to worry about anyone behind him.

Like this: Cambiasso drops way down because usually we don't have any support for Krasic. And Sorensen calmly puts the ball into the box for a goal. Imagine if we had a real RB there every time.
