So realistically, what do you guys think are the chances of using Grygera as bait for VDW & lowering his asking fee are?
With the teams mentioned to be interested in VDW, chances are low they will accept a bid like that, Chelsea and Bayern are interested in him so I doubt we sand much of a chance.

I hope I am wrong though.

Aush,

Nope, appearently, he has the same agent as Ozil has and Real wants to pay the limited transfer fee which he has as a clause in his contract of 10MEuro.
Looks like a done deal according to several websites.

We are going for Beck, check a few pages back.
I know, it's just a hypothetical question.

Ajax & dutch teams in general have a long history of taking back players that have plied their trade in the eredivisie so it's not a far fetch notion but yeah, if Chelsea & Bayern are in the mix, they'll just throw money in Ajax direction & they won't even look our way.

the annoying thing about the sahin case is that half of us were aware of his contractual situation and release clause a long time ago, and yet Juve did nothing about it, as the saying goes - early bird catches the worm, but thats ok we spent that time negotiating clowns for next season

Like do what and when?
If we did make an offer for him, the first thing his agent was going to do was to make it public and invite other teams to offer Sahin a contract.

We stood no chances to get Sahin for 10 million. If his price was 20 or 25m, then we might have gotten him if we decided to pay that transfer fee. But when his price is 10 million, we stood no chance, just like with Ozil.

Because here would be 1st chooice , in our team .
In madrid he would be only sub .
Khedira ain't starting next season I think, Lass is going, Granero isn't likely to be a starter either, Gago is out.

Sahin - Xabi Alonso
Di Maria - Ozil - CR
Higuain

seems pretty fifa-like.

Like Afellay chose us so he could be a starter and not Barcelona where he is a sub?

Yeah right, we are the most attractive team around, because you can be a starter..
