If we would play 433 I would take him as the left CM, no doubt. But at the moment someone like Sahin or M'Vila would be much more needed. For the LW I would really like to have Hazard, he's freaking awesome.

So I looked up some valuations of Modric. Seeing £40-50 mill tossed about. Jesus-! Every few years I find myself stupefied by how much fees have inflated. I seem to be always working from numbers from 4-5 years back. Anyway -- never mind about Modric, even as a prop for a more generalized discussion. Just refurbish the concession stand and call it a day and wait for the madness to end as surely it must.

I like Sahin, what little I know of him, I had just never heard his name connected to Juve in a rumor.

it's obviously a nice squad but it would still cost around 65 million euros to buy those four new additions (beck, modric, hazard, matri). adding to that we would need to spend on pepe and motta as subs/squad fillers. that's another 9-10 million. plus we need cover in cm/dm. only momo wont do it.

When did the full-back position become the joke position where we just put the gimps? Lets get serious about our full-back position. DC, Beck and Zeigler all probably aren't good enough.

Two. People have seen Modric play left wing? People saw Martinez play left wing as well. It doesn't matter how good a player is, if you don't play him in his preferred position then you're wasting your money.

We've seen Martinez on the LW and SS position and he sucked in either way.

Modric is by no means a winger though, but I wont bother myself with dicussing Modric cos there's no way he'll join us.


I would like some +reps, I said since march or february that Mazzarri would be our coach.

I whole heartedly agree on your first point but we have seen players that are versatile enough to play in different positions & still perform at an optimal level. Ivanovic being a prime example but it would be rather stupid to waste Modric on the left when he would work wonders in the middle.
