Thanks, I thought so... but is it good enough to replace Chiellini? Or he would need a season as a squad player first? Do you know how much is he rated around?
Over the past two season he was rated pretty high, even at this forum. IMO he'd be ready to replace him right away, no need to wait for anything.

Buffon stays and he will be our GK, says Marotta

Besiktas has joined the race for Bosingwa

According to 4-4-2 (terrible site) we're after Shaqiri

"Aquilani has surprised us, we want to keep him." Marotta

Going through these previous pages, I can't decide what disgusts me the most. But I've managed to narrow it down to 2 things:

* People being okay with selling Chiellini
* People being okay with signing Balotelli

The 1st one is stupid as we need a WC defender to replace him and we can`t sign a WC defender for less or the same amount of money we will get for him
The 2nd You can say whatever you want about him but in terms of skills ability and potential he is great too bad he lets his dumb personality ruin his career. The only reason for not wanting Balotelli here is his personality as he is clearly a great player

About the first thing I would say its doubtful at best. We need to figure out how much are they offering for Chiellini. If he is seen as the vital ingredient in a CL winning Real Madrid or EPL winning City then the price we could get for him might be astronomical indeed. He signed a new contract last year i think, so if somebody wants to move him he would have to put a lot of leverage. If we get a bid in the 50 mils range from anyone, I would consider it, especially if we can get Sakho for 20-25 of those.
About Balotelli - there isn't a better suited player for Marotta's prove-yourself system. He will be loaned - if he is a burden in any way he would get back to City before he could say 'racism', if he adapts to the team, earns a place and respect - he would be the last one that wants to leave given his history, so his willingness to stay would be a great advantage for us.

Nobody is gonna pay 50 mil for Chiello. If so-------sell. We can have 3 players for that money. Beck-10mil, CB-25mil, LB-15 mil.
They were offering close to 25 for the older/worse Vidic with one year on his contract. If you see how much Real M paid for Carvalho, a squad player in Chelsea with astronomical wages, half the qualities of Chiello and twice the age - why wouldn't anyone pay 50 millions for our hero?
Some people in this forum are forgetting that while you can get 3 great players for Juventus for those money, it is impossible to find 3 great players for Real for the same cash. And even if they did - they have no place to field them. That is why it makes perfect sense to get 40 mils+ for Chiello, while he wouldn't be worth the same money to us - cause we are fielding Motta next to him.
