Maxwell would be interesting for LB. He's 29 though, isn't he? Mixed feelings. Definitely better than what we have and he shouldn't be expensive.

Buffon for Menez? I don't quite get the hype surrounding Menez on here, if I'm honest. I've rarely seen him do anything spectacular, but I haven't watched him that often, so I might be wrong here.

@Salva: That's a very nice goal by Rossi.
Wasn't there a proposed deal last June that would've brought both Caceres and Maxwell to Juventus for some ridiculously low fee? At the time I thought that was a fucking fantastic idea. I'm pretty sure Maxwell was involved in a false passport thing with Inter and I'm not entirely sure whether he's EU or non-EU.

    That's what confused me.

    Passport controversy

It was reported that Maxwell registered as a EU-player during 2006 to 2009 with Inter, but he was signed by FC Barcelona as a non-EU player (Brazil), as Maxwell did not present his Dutch passport. UEFA started to investigate the case in August 2010,[11] but in fact Inter signed him as domestic transfer and arrived Italy as non-EU player for Empoli, and had not violated Italian Football Federation (FIGC) regulation. FIGC only restricted Italian football clubs for signing non-EU player from abroad, except 1 quota is given to Serie A clubs per season if the club released or sold abroad the non-EU player, or the player himself got a EU nationality.

On 25 August 2010, Inter declared that Maxwell was always a non-EU player with the club.[12]

You do realize we live in the year 2011, right?

Most of the saves in that video is from 2006 and before, and i'm sorry to say, but Buffon of today is no way near the Buffon we saw back then.
Buffon injured is not of use to anyone, Buffon healthy and play his way to form after recovery, same Gigi as allways. Only thing that stops him is injuries, nothing else. Only reason the clips in that vid is old is because the video is.

Yeah through Empoli as I said, he cant produce an EU passport he doesnt have, wasnt in Holland long enough. Its too risky to fake passports these days.

Mario Balotelli’s biological father Thomas Barwuah claims his son was a Juventus fan as a child.

The 20-year-old striker who left Inter for Manchester City this summer has always professed to being a diehard Milan supporter.

Interviewed in Diva e Donna, Barwuah said: “Perhaps he doesn’t remember that as a child he was a Juventus fan, like me.

“We played football together and I always admired Del Piero because he is respectful and calm.

“We taught our children to respect the others. I told Mario: 'Don’t argue on the pitch’.

“We don’t depend on Mario’s money and we won’t ask him for any, and it’s not true that we abandoned him as a child.

ok ok, I had 1 hour sleep. Mario is not joining Juve.

    or is he?

Buffon is f*cken untouchable. No way we're selling or swapping him. Unless it's for Messi.

EDIT: No, not even for Messi.

The question regarding Buffon is not whether he can play at a high level again, he can. It's rather will injuries hold him back in doing so. Nobody knows that answer.

I don't want to sell Buffon. Along with Tim Howard and Kasey Keller, he's my favorite keeper in world football. But in thinking with your head instead of your heart, you can't say no player isn't for sale should a proper bid come along. After selling Zizou, I had to come to terms with that.

But a direct swap for Menez? Come on now. That's ludicrous.
