Aulas seems to want get rid of Bastos at all costs.

The thing about this deal is that we need a (world class) game changer and not another nice squad player for that role. I think the strategy changed? a bit for the next summer. Judging by the strong links, Marotta just want the same as last year... with buys instead of loans and a less number of players coming. Damn, with one champions (Hazard/Sanchez) and a good RB I'd be freaking amazed. Plus some of the guys we've in loan atm, ofc.

If Juve Managed to get Aguero or anyone like that..Serie A will seriously be mad challenging with clubs like Napoli owning Lavezzi, Palermo with Pastore, Udinese could still have Sanchez,Milanmerda/Intermerda with Ganso/Neymar. That would make a really challenging serie A yet again..

I wouldn't trade Buffon for Menez, but for Messi? Come on, you've got to be crazy not to.
I was exaggerating, what I am saying is I don't want to trade Buffon with anyone, we should really keep him no matter what. Alex will retire soon, Buffon is the only one left from the glorious days, and the only other legend in the club other than Alex, we have to keep him. He stayed here at the worst ever possible days, when he was the best keeper in the world, he gave the biggest sacrifice then imo.

Out of all the talents in Lyon you go after Bastos? :sergio:
I got a question to league 1 followers, is Bastos a regular starter for Lyon? I've not see playing him again Real Madrid in the UCL.
Bastos is a regular for Lyon, which is strange considering they usually bench Miralem Pjanic. Their manager Puel can't really seem to find a place for the young Bosnian and doesn't want to try him outside, which is a mistake IMO. So they usually line up with a combination of Briand, Gourcuff, Bastos and Delgado behind a lone striker, usually Gomis since Lopez has been injured a lot this season.

Paratrici will be in London at the weekend watching Brazil.
Well, I guess the good news is that they're watching some good players for a change.

Is he any better than let's say, Andre Ayew? I've only seen Bastos a few times and he never impressed me. I was always impressed by Pjanic whenever I watched Lyon last season.
Bastos isn't better than Ayew, that's for sure. The latter is an explosive player, even at his young age of 21. But Ayew is really a forward winger while Bastos is probably classified as a wing-back, so there is a slight difference there. We should be going after players like Dede instead but fat chance of us taking the younger route. We're really a dumb club when it comes to this.

Well, Ayew is on fire this season, so not many players in France come close to him. The thing I like about Bastos is that he isnt a showpony, unlike many other Brazillian player. He gets the job done without many tricks and flicks. He has a wicked left foot too, but every good game I have seen him playing was on the right wing and not on the left.
Bastos has some tricks. I think I remember him scoring a backheel goal earlier this season/last season.

It was more pointing to the people who say he's average etc.

He's far from average because he's a starter in Lyon week in week out.
Tiago was a starter in Lyon too, week in week out, you know...

He's fortunate to have Cissokho playing behind him for the overlap. The problem of double marking doesnt excist there. How would he cope with De Ceglie behind is something Im curious about.
He'd probably be doing more defensive work considering DC is a weaker player than Cissokho.

GdS reporting that Juve are preparing a bid for Aguero who is thought to leave Atleti soon . Rumours are they'll offer Tiago + Iaquinta
Sounds like fun, but we'll have to offer more than that.

According to Davids, Ale could play until he's 40.

Very likely, because we are known to buy non-Italian great champions :howler:
:D

Seriously though we have the Italian flag in our jersey design, sing the national anthem before the matches, the colors of our stadium seems to be the same as the national flag instead of black and white. ItaJuve has gone out of control.
