Pirlo would take at least 12mln from us by his contract. That figure would double when we count taxes.

He was an amazing player but he's not on that level now. He's very slow now and does 30% of his old moves nowadays.

Much better investments can be made and there are many better players.
whoo hoo lets instead spend 10m by the end of his contract on a player that has absolutely no first team experience, has no experience on this continent and given our record of NOT blooding young players will almost certainly NOT play

This is the reason why we are were we are and Napoli, Udinese, Inter and Milan are enjoying the fruits of taking a risks on the likes of Hamsik, Pato, Coutinho, Lavezzi, Sanchez...and the list goes on. Meanwhile, our "experienced" players ala Grosso, Barzagli, Toni, etc bring us bags of knowledge.

Inter what tisk they took ?! Only player the took risk was Coutinho , who is not nothing special .

Daud,F.Rossi are better than this overrated guy .

Milan took risk for Pato .

the same reason for not signing Pirlo can be applied to signing players that are 17 fucking years old.

we should be goping for players at 20-23 who can offer us good value but also have some resale potential

I don't disagree here...I just dove into the argument because it is between Piazon vs Pirlo :nerd:

20-23 talents might be too expensive for us right now...so, where do we draw the line then?

Zambrotta,Yepes,Ronaldinho,Robinho,Zlatan, Jankulovski, Casanno,Flamini,Gatusso,Pirlo

which one of these did Milan sign as a 17 year old again?

ok lets look at Inter instead
Pandev,Milito,Eto'o,Cambiasso,Sneider,Samuel,Pazzini,Chivu

yup they certainly showed us the way forward by splashing ridiculous amount of money on teeneagers that went on to become integral parts of their team

Napoli have succeeded because they are NOT a top club, there is less expectancy on the players, less focus f4rom the media and less demand for instant success.

Unless we deploy this Doozy.

Buffon

Beck-Bonucci-Chiellini-Bastos

Pirlo-Marchisio

Krasic-Aquilani-Quag

Matri
I don't like it.

Pirlo - Marchisio link is rubbish.

No, let's sign Pirlo the champion with experience

Are you only including 17 year olds or what? The names you mentioned aren't the names I mentioned and I am talking specifically of the players I mentioned and what the have been bringing to the club and will do in the future. I am not grouping ALL youngsters in the age bracket of 17 years old.

I'd take Bosingwa over Beck at RB. Dunno if anyone agrees. Bosingwa for free would free up Beck's 8m that could be spent wisely toward the purchase of Cissokho at LB.
Bosingwa-Bonnucci-Chiellini-Cissokho.
