I'm not really mad about Piazon. He isn't the type of player we'd sign considering he's expensive and too hyped for his age. We won't be signing Neymar either, nor Lucas, nor any other very good young Brazilian, so don't get your hopes up. Lesser known players will be the ones targeted, like Sorensen. Then the question becomes whether the scouting network is that great to keep finding players like the Dane -- which at this point, no evidence supports that theory at all.
We haven't heard ANYTHING in regards to our scouts and where they are, whom there looking at, etc. Not even rumors...its frustrating watching everyone around you eat a piece of the pie but you can't get in on a slice.
great next stop get some class, oh wait i forgot it's chelsea we're talking about
what?

Sorensen is a CB. He needs to develop there because he has the potential to be much better than Bonucci and worth more. Besides, he does nothing to support Krasic offensively and it ends up wearing out Krasic and also hurting us greatly in attack because not only does Krasic get double/triple teamed but there is no one to take advantage of that space. We need to invest in a proper RB that can go up and down. And a LB too lol.

30mil for a new striker:

Vucinic (we have already talked to his people)

Rossi (we were after him last summer)

Sanchez ( we have other deals with Udinese some sort of deal could be worked out)

Lassa Diarra to take Sissoko's place

Pirlo no truth yet, he wants to work a deal out with Milan

Good. Let's make sure he works out a deal with Milan then. As for the other options, say no Rossi and Vucinic. Sanchez is on another level; if we want to make waves in the transfer market, we should be gunning for this guy.

An article on a Dutch website states that Frolan dreams about a move to SerieA.
Get rid of Iaquinta and Amauri and get this guy please (if the money is ok that is).

Forlan could be quite an essential player for us, so it would be a wise move. Like we saw against Cesena, we need a SS like Del Piero who can do it all. Not that Forlan is even half the player Del Piero is but im content with buying a wise, experienced, classy SS to play alongside Matri.

I would prefer Pastore or Sanchez to play behind Matri though, but that would be a pipe dream.

Priorities for next season should be 2 quality FB's, a solid LW, and a potentially World class creative force in the attacking department.

Beck or VDW for the RB slot; Cissokho for LB, Bastos for the LW (since we seem keen on getting him based on various sources), and Sanchez for that extra spark. We can focus on getting a world class striker and another solid central/defensive midfielder in the summer of 2012 for the 2012-2013 campaign.

Starting 11 for 2011-2012:

Buffon
Beck/VDW
Bonnuci
Chiellini
Cissokho
Melo
Marchisio
Krasic
Sanchez
Bastos
Quagliarella/Matri

Subs:
Storari
Sorensen
Barzagli (unfortunately we are stuck with him)
PDC
Del Piero
Ekdal
Toni (same as Barzagli)
Quagliarella/Matri
Backup CM
Backup Winger

Also, I find it entertaining that everyone here seems to think we'll be able to get rid of all our rubbish players that easily.

Martinez, Iaquinta, Grosso, Grygera, Amauri, Manniger or Storari (one of the two will leave), Sissoko, assuming we can all sell them for a decent amount is rather unrealistic me thinks.

There weren't really any quotes in that article..

and how determined is Spalletti to his Zenit? I thought he wanted to come back to Italy.

@ Chester: I would only purchase Quag, but knowing Marotta we will probably acquire both.

Regarding Cissokho, I just mentioned him as I can't think of any other good LB's out there, and I don't want to see PDC as a starter. Beck, and Bastos seem like realistic options, and someone like Sanchez should be a priority, even more so than Pastore or Neymar.
