Van Der Wiel would be costly considering the number of competition we might have for him. We should replace Pepe with a quality LW as well, never seen him put a decent cross so far for this season.

Dzeko or Benzema, its all good. But Benzema would probably be cheaper and would leave a non EU spot.
I doubt that.

Benzema would probably command a much higher wage than Dzeko. And I sure hope we haven't been lowering our wage bill these past few months, only to start making the same mistakes again...

They also gave Aquilani a 7 rating and a flop of the match against Inter so their writers are certainly on drugs

anyway Football Italia says Dzeko in june or Benzema in january
why not Benzema on loan in January and Dzeko pernament in june?
just a thought
Why would we want Benzema if Iaquinta>Benzema, according to you?

Precisely.

Marotta said the other day in a interview with Sky that if the opportunity to sign someone who would add quality to the team in January came up they would sign that player. Byrone could get his dream then Benzema :p
Hopefully it comes to fruition.:xfinger:

Do we really need that poll?
Its like making a poll of Zidane (in his prime) vs Pastore
:howler:

You fm genius.:sergio:

I would be thrilled, but I also very much like Benzema....and if the price is significantly lower, it's a a real dilemma.

I don't get how a player like Benzema can be under-valued so much, after just one poor season in the talent-killer which is Real Madrid. Just look at the Sneijders and Robbens now...nowadays I suppose Kaka is now on the level of Pastore, too.
Word. Every player has a dip in form at some stage at their career & the guy is damn young. All he needs is some guidance coupled with the right postive influences around him like Delpie & Buffon. He'll be back to his best if he joins us.

I just find it amazing that some folks here still rate Amauri & Benzema is deemed washed up. How long has Amauri been sucking ass for now?

We should cut our losses & maybe strike a deal with Real to swap players or maybe give Amauri plus cash.

Why do people want to hear comedians after they hear you?!
Iaq isn`t better my point there was to mention Benz is overated
time will show I`m right
If we do sign him I really hope I`m wrong

Anyway between Dzeko and Benz there is no doubt Dzeko is better!

Pazzini NO
Benz NO
Defoe NO
Lukaku HELL YEAH
Yap I think he is overated I don`t rate him more than I rate Iaquinta

It doesn`t need to be fixed
Pazzini is a waste of money as he isn`t that good
Benz is overated
Defoe I guess they just mentioned his name because it sounds unusual
Lukaku is 17 and a good player

Look at YOUR posts above! What does the highlighted sentence mean? In your statement there Iaquinta>Benzema. You even said you don't want Benzema here, so please answer my initial question.

Dzeko better than Benzema? It boils down to opinion, it's not a fact. If Dzeko wasn't on form you wouldn't go on about it.

How exactly is Benzema overrated? I want an answer to that one, please.

i see benzema the exact goal scoring machine trezeguet was/is...so we would be retarded not to go for him if we can in winter...we really need a good and young striker.

If one won't look on the transfer fee itself, one would realize that Benzema won't be so much cheaper than Dzeko in the long term.

Still can't choose one between them.

How did you come to that conclusion? We don't know what fee Real would request & we certainly don't know what kind of wages he'd be paid. One thing i'm pretty sure about is that he would take a pay cut in order to join Juve.

He currently makes 8M a year at Real. How much of a pay cut would you think he will be willing to take to join us? Our highest paid player, Buffon, makes 5M a year. Seeing that Marotta is now focused on paying attention on our wage budget, Benzema would at least have to accept a wage cut of half what he's currently earning at Real. He obviously has to take a wage cut to join most of the other clubs. How much of a wage cut would he be willing to take is more appropriate question in our case.

Benzema would be a gamble because he's lazy and hasn't got regular playing time for a while now. If it's only one of them, then definitely Dzeko.
