I think Lyon won't be willing to let go their entire left side (even though bastos plays on the right for them aswell) in the same transfer window, so it'll be either Cissohko or Bastos, i'd go with Cissohko and Vargas as a really good leftback is harder to find than a left winger.

Not to mention that clubs always get ripped off when dealing with Lyon.

Conte = 4-4-2. I wouldn't expect both Pastore and Aguero it will be one of two.

Isla (15M) - Bonucci - Chiellini - Coentrao (22M)
Krasic - Pirlo - Melo - Hazard (25M)
Matri (18M) - Quag (14M)

Extremely unrealistic and probably too expensive but this is what I would do. Hopefully Quags price can be negotiated seeing as Napoli don't want him anyway and he suffered a bad injury. That left wing would be unstoppable (imagine how much more space Krasic would have as well) and we would have actual full-backs for the first time since calciopoli.

What I am hoping for with a 50-60 M budget:

Buffon
Isla-Bonucci-Chiellini-Cissokho
Krasic-Pirlo-Melo-Vargas
Matri-Quag

What I am expecting from Marotta

Buffon
Beck-Bonucci-Chiellini-Ziegler
Krasic-Pirlo-Melo-Bastos
Matri-Quag

Like some said here, hoping for the best, expecting the worst. That second line up would not make top 3 imo but the first one could.

Me neither, but it seems we are getting both Conte and Pirlo and Conte apparently plays 4-4-2(well, an offensive 4-4-2)
I just don't know anymore, those italians coaches and their fixation with the 4-4-2 is disturbing, changing formation and systems to adapt yourself to the players you're given should be football 101, someone should get them a football for dummies.

Or they could mess around with the formations on Fifa ffs.

I couldn't think of any better LB whom is a tad bit realistic(not that any of the ones I mention are realistic, but they have a slight chance of moving) I actually like Tremoulinas, but there have been no words on him since January. and Boateng has not been playing regularly,he would not want to give his starting spot away for the NT with 2012 Euro coming..And I think he has lots of potentials, yes Cissokho is better but Boateng could become WC too
He is also very close to signing for Bayern.

It's his agent apparently?
Yes. We apparently offered them 30m cash. Some sources said we offered 25m plus Amanda and Sissoko. That's a pretty fair deal though. But having said that, it's pretty evident we've not got our priorities straight for the third season running. While it won't be an absolute waste to buy an Aguero, one wonders what good is it in a year you don't even have Champions League football. Top that off with the fact that Aguero will not be as effective as two world class fbs will be, espesh in the 442/424 variant. Its one thing to look at quality acquisitions, but its just as important if not more, to plug gaping holes with that quality first. In 30m we could easily get two of Bosingwa, Isla, Cissokho, Tremoulinas etc. With those two acquisitions, the d will be sorted and everything else would fall into place. Bosingwa, Cissokho, Mascherano and one good winger are all we need to be back in the reckoning. But right now, again we're looking at buying players and retrofitting them, which is only gonna work to our detriment. The 30m we spend on Aguero could well be the difference between where we are and where we want to be. It will not change anything as far as I'm concerned. He'll only help the diminishing Juventus brand sell some merchandise. Feel like this move has 'Diego' written all over it. Even if El Kun is a better player.
